Zsa Zsa Goes to Hospital -- Not Life-Threatening
34 minutes ago by TMZ Staff

Zsa Zsa Gabor has been taken to a hospital, but sources tell TMZ her condition is not life-threatening.

We've learned the person who called 911 from Gabor's house mentioned flu-like symptoms and body pain.

We're told a private ambulance has taken Gabor to the hospital, without emergency lights flashing ... an indication her life is not in immediate danger.

    An interesting detail <!-- s8-) -->8-)<!-- s8-) -->

  • What on earth is with the "flu-like symptoms"..? I have seen that too many times during the past year, and flu-like symptoms is not something one normally gets hospitalized for.

    WTF?
You can call a ambulance when you have the flu?
    Amazing..

She collapsed 2 weeks ago and she is 93 years old. I think that is why she was taken to the hospital. At that age a flu can be dangerous.

The PRIVATE ambulance is more of an interesting detail by the way, I guess it's normal in the US to have your own private ambulance?

Is it what they say when, there are problems with these prescribed medicines, symptoms of flu?
  • paula-cpaula-c Posts: 7,221
Well if she is 93 years, whether to care for the flu, and more today that these viruses are so strong.
  • Wow, now there's a blatant clue that Souza underlined. This is great. Thanks TMZ!

Plus, they don't need to post that the emergency lights weren't flashing thus indicating that there was no immediate danger. They could just say we have gathered 'there was no immediate danger'. I find this odd considering the fuss people made about MIchaels ambulance being slow and no sirens and lights etc. This sentence wasn't even necessary.

I don't think it means she owns her own ambulance. I think it is an ambulance you hire through a private company. Most ambulances (those associated with the local hospitals) will only deliver you to the hospital closest to your house but a private ambulance will take you to the hospital of your choice. JMO
  • Well let's not forget all the news articles on June 25, 2009, that said Michael was taken to Cedar-Sinai Hospital in LA instead of UCLA, and that Cedar-Sinai was blocked off with yellow tape, etc. I guess when you're in an ambulance with no lights, no sirens, and your life is not in danger, the ambulance will take you anywhere you want. Maybe even to the airport!

This is one article saying he was taken to Cedar-Sinai.....

    I find this interesting.....such a coincidence:

I talked about this type of coincidence and TMZ on this thread....it will explain it a lot better:

They called the 911 (a public service) , but they brought her to the hospital with a private ambulance...? <!-- s:roll: --><!-- s:roll: -->

You can book an ambulance but not for the emergency, that is quite impossible...

    Flu-like symptoms: Introduction

Flu-like symptoms: Flu-like symptoms appear like the flu (see symptoms of flu), which tends to be more severe than the similar cold-like symptoms. Flu-like symptoms may include fever, shivering, chills, malaise, dry...

The flu, medically known as influenza, is a common infection of the respiratory tract, including the nose, throat, bronchial tubes and lungs. The flu is caused by a virus and is very contagious. The effects of the flu can vary from mild to severe to life-threatening, depending on the type of flu and individual factors, such as age, general health status, and coexisting conditions, such as renal failure. • Here's the first article TMZ published about Zsa Zsa Gabor:
Zsa Zsa Gabor Rushed Back to Hospital
8/31/2010 10:50 AM PDT by TMZ Staff

TMZ has learned ... Zsa Zsa Gabor is being rushed back to UCLA Medical Center.

    0817-zsa-zsa-ex-getty.jpg

Zsa Zsa's husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, tells TMZ, "I just called an ambulance. She has to go back to UCLA."

The Prince says the 93-year-old Zsa Zsa was unresponsive and clearly in distress.

An ambulance is on the scene after 911 was called.

No word yet on the nature of the emergency.

    Story developing...

Here it says that Zsa Zsa's husband called an ambulance, because Zsa Zsa was unresponsive and clearly in distress. In the second article Zsa Zsa's condition is described as flu-like symptoms and body pain. IMO unresponsive and clearly in distress is more severe than flu-like symptoms and body pain.

The second article has been updated:
UPDATE: Zsa Zsa's publicist, John Blanchette, tells TMZ the doctors have stabilized Gabor's condition -- though she's still undergoing certain tests."

Blanchette tells us he's "hopeful she'll be released tonight."

They've never said "flu-like illness" in regards to MJ. However with all these cases that had these symptoms, I'm wondering if Harvey's implying that there's a Hollywood killer or deadly virus on the loose! <!-- s:o -->:o<!-- s:o --> I always loved to hear Zsa Zsa talking with her air of sophistication.
