Just a "thank you"

Hello Michael, wherever you are:

I can't call myself a real fan (whatever that is)... I'm more of an admirer and supporter. One of those people watching, studying and admiring from a distance. I don't like "fan fiction", do not dream about you at night, and don't want to spend one day with you because I think you should spend that day with your lovely children. I'd just like to say THANK YOU for everything you have given to the world, and to let you know that you've got nothing left to prove. There are few people in this world who truly deserve(d) the label "star". You are one of those few, and among them all you shone the brightest - and not just because of the glittery socks and the Swarowski crystals.

It's hard to find a way to say an adequate THANK YOU via the Internet, so I thought I'd send you a poem, a video and an image (which comes with an Einstein quote). The poem is simply the one I consider the greatest love poem ever, and since you're so into L.O.V.E., I thought you might like it. Also, I imagine that the first stanza expresses the way that many people feel about you.

Unending Love
- by Rabindranath Tagore

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times...
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever.

Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, it's age old pain,
It's ancient tale of being apart or together.
As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,
Clad in the light of a pole-star, piercing the darkness of time.
You become an image of what is remembered forever.

You and I have floated here on the stream that brings from the fount.
At the heart of time, love of one for another.
We have played along side millions of lovers,
Shared in the same shy sweetness of meeting,
the distressful tears of farewell,
Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever.

Today it is heaped at your feet, it has found its end in you
The love of all man's days both past and forever:
Universal joy, universal sorrow, universal life.
The memories of all loves merging with this one love of ours -
And the songs of every poet past and forever.

Wherever you are, Michael, I hope you're alive, healthy and happy.
THANK YOU big time.

  • Thank YOU for posting this! And I'll add my "thank you" to Michael as well. I agree 100% with everything here. Although I have dreamt of meeting Michael and of course all those imaginary tea parties...but I was a kid <!-- s:D -->:D<!-- s:D --> <!-- s:lol: --><!-- s:lol: -->

Thank you, Michael, for putting your heart "on the line" (your whole life AND this hoax) so that we could all learn to love. Because of you, I know what love is.

    THANK YOU!
  • Unending Love by Tagore is phenomenal. Thank you so much for posting it. It is likely the greatest poem about twin souls/divine complements that I've ever read

And, to Michael from my favorite poet, e.e. cummings (1894-1962)
i carry your heart with me

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
    i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)

  • SoldierofLove: You seem to have very edgy tastes. <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) --> Love the e.e. cummings poem and the quotes. Blessings and a wonderful Holiday Season!

I need to add the following as a message to Michael:
    1. The album "Michael" is great - THANK YOU!
    2. When you come back, could you please wear more blue? (Personal taste, LOL.) Metallic grey also looks very good on you.
    3. Would you please, pleeease stop referring to any women as "fish"? It's not nice, and besides you should keep in mind that you're everyone's ideal man & it's really devastating to find out you have any flaws whatsoever... <!-- s;) -->;)<!-- s;) --> So don't make us cry, MJ. <!-- s:D -->:D<!-- s:D -->

    Oh, just one more thing:
    MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Hope you get to celebrate with Prince, Paris and Blanket.

    Love, love, love all around.
