It is very eery listening to it now as he "predicted his death" back then.
Interesting as he clearly understood his addiction, the pain it caused himself and to others around him and also he clearly understood the dangers.
Michael wrote this piece in first, second and third person, which he did in his work sometimes [which can be confusing] but like a lot of artists Michael wrote about his frustrations with other people in more than one piece and this particular song is one of them. It's a hit at more than one person, not necessarily because it's written in 1st, 2nd and 3rd person, but because of the topics covered. The people he was taking about know and knew exactly to whom it was directed. Michael wasn't talking about himself. This is one of my favorite songs. I love the way he composed it.
