agree , the hoax plan may just had planned around 10yrs? or when the time he felt he need to plan
Michael want to do things that shocking everyone
elvis_/
I believe this hoax is/was Michael's life's work. I think he has planned to fake his death since Thriller era. It's probably the reason for Thriller in the first place.

I think the Pepsi "accident" emboldened him and gave him confidence that he could, indeed, pull off a massive hoax.

I suppose it is possible that the allegations and subsequent trial delayed the kick off of the hoax but then if that were the case, I'd hate to have to rework the numerology to make sure it all still worked out.

It's more likely, to me, that plans for this hoax have been in place since AT LEAST 1986. 9282 days cannot be a mere coincidence. This startling fact can only be explained by a personal history of methodical long term planning towards an ultimate goal, a death hoax.
I mean how random is it for MJ to do a "Halloween" style song and video and then release it in November after Halloween has just passed?

In a purely marketing standpoint, that makes zero sense at all. It's like unveiling a Christmas movie in January. No one does such a thing.
Ps. The album Thriller was released 11/30/82, the single was released 12/2/82.

11/30/2011 will mark the 29th anniversary of the album Thriller.
