Michael Jackson's lawyers going after Murray

[size=12pt]UK tabloid The Sun reported yesterday that lawyers representing the king of pop's estate are going to ask Judge Michael Pastor to order the killer doctor to pay his children what Jackson would have earned if he had been working.<br /><br />The lawyers are demanding that Conrad Murray, 58, make the payout to Jackson's children, Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket.<br /><br />Prosecutors say the children are victims who should be compensated for wages that would have been banked by their superstar father, as well as cash spent on his funeral, the newspaper reported.<br /><br />Estimates from Jackson's estate managers are that he would have earned R846-million from his This Is It tour, which was supposed to start two months after his death in June 2009.<br /><br />The Los Angeles District Attorney's office has also filed papers with the judge and asked that Murray, who was convicted on a charge of involuntary manslaughter, serve the maximum sentence of four years in jail.<br /><br />However, The Sun reports that the sentence is likely to be reduced to two years due to prison overcrowding. Oh! oh! tell me something, how is Murray going to come out with 846 million dollar??and is the sun a reputable newspaper? lol

Well that's just the thing, I'm no lawyer and I'm not familiar with u.s. laws but IMHO it is nothing but a big waste of money for the jakcson estate because Murray will never ever in his lifetime be able to come up with that money. I think if they were to cease any money from him it would surely go to his well overdue child support payments if we are to believe what has been reported about that. Unless Murray's insurance covers practicing without a licence and covers manslaughter.
