[size=18pt]Jackson's sex abuse case may feature in new trial over death[/size]<br />LOS ANGELES | Thu Mar 21, 2013 8:18pm EDT<br /><br /><br /><br />(Reuters) - Michael Jackson's 2005 trial and acquittal on child sex abuse charges may be revisited in a civil lawsuit next month that pits the pop singer's mother against concert promoters AEG Live, a Los Angeles judge ruled on Thursday.<br /><br />Katherine Jackson is suing AEG Live for the wrongful death of her son, alleging that the concert promoter was negligent in hiring Dr. Conrad Murray to care for the singer ahead of a series of London comeback concerts set for July 2009.<br /><br />Jackson, 50, died in June 2009 in Los Angeles after a rehearsal for the concerts. Murray was found guilty in 2011 of responsibility for Jackson's death by giving him the surgical anesthetic propofol as a sleep aid, and is serving a four-year sentence for involuntary manslaughter.<br /><br /><br /><br /> <br />Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Yvette Palazuelos ruled that attorneys for AEG Live could raise Jackson's molestation trial as part of their defense in the wrongful death case as it may be relevant to his history of drug abuse and despondency.<br /><br />After years of legal wrangling, the civil trial is due to get underway on April 2 and could last up to three months.<br /><br />Katherine Jackson and the "Thriller" singer's two oldest children, Prince and Paris, could be called as witnesses, Palazuelos ruled in a pre-trial hearing.<br /><br />Murray may also be called to testify, although Katherine Jackson's lawyer said the physician was planning to assert his Fifth Amendment rights and remain silent.<br /><br />Katherine Jackson sued AEG Live a year after the "Thriller" singer's death on behalf of his three children, Prince, Paris and Prince II, known as Blanket. She is not suing Murray.<br /><br />The pop star stood trial in central California in 2005 on charges of molesting a 13-year-old boy he had befriended and hosted at his Neverland Ranch. Thanks for sharing Souza.<br />Of course AEG will use all its weapons to blame Michael for something he didn't do, Michael's inner circle, friends and family have always stated that they never saw Michael doing drugs, now AEG wants to convince the judge that due to Michael was charged of sex abuse he started to do drugs so he wasn't able to carry out the concerts. "SHAME ON YOU AEG"

I wouldn't want to be on that other end of the mother bear attack.<br /><br />So, I was wondering, if the 2005 trial is brought back up, does this mean that perhaps Jordy will also be brought back up? Wouldn't it be the best thing ever if this is the avenue in which Jordy comes clean and clears Michael's image for good? I can't help but think about the "wrongs that were righted behind the scenes". Now that would be amazing!!!  <br />Agree with GinaFelicia, Mrs. Katherine is such a strong woman, sometimes I don't know where does she get that strength from, but then I remember ... her son is alive, and that's what matters the most, I'm sure God will fix things and soon the truth will prevail.<br />Voice, i was too wondering about TM's possible role in this trial. We shall wait and see ...

<br /><br /><br />I've been wondering the same thing about Jordan ever since hearing that the allegations might be brought up in this trial.  His dad is not here this time to keep him quiet.  And Katherine has said publicly on more than one occasion that Jordan has admitted he lied about the whole thing.<br /><br /><br />

  I agree that they will try any thing they possibly can to take down Michael! They tried when he was here and now they are doing it now when he's not! This trial should me interesting! Lets just wait and see!
