Bears Star Lance Briggs:
I Really HOPE Michael Jackson
Didn't Abuse Bubbles

3/16/2014 12:15 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

EXCLUSIVE

0314-briggs-michael-jackson-getty-4.jpg

Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs is a huge animal lover -- and tells TMZ Sports he'd be EXTREMELY PISSED if he found out the abuse allegations about Michael Jackson's chimp Bubbles were true.

As we previously reported, famed monkey specialist Jane Goodall claims Bubbles suffered serious physical abuse on MJ's watch -- though several other people who spent lots of time with the primate say it's total crap.

"If that's true, it's despicable," Briggs said ... "I don't ever want any harm done to animals."

But Lance says he isn't ready to condemn MJ yet -- "Just because [Jane] said he was beaten, doesn't mean it was. If she had proof, it'd be different."

He continues, "I'm a fan of Michael's talent so it doesn't take away from that -- but my outlook of him as a person would change."

For the record, the MJ Estate has also denied that Bubbles was abused ... and says it still contributes money to the sanctuary where he now lives.

Odd, why is it important to know what kind of opinion This Line Backer has, are we now going to ask any who's living in the US and has some kind of carreer for a opinion on MJ TMZ?

I don't know why, but I keep relating this story with the chi-mo allegations. Both allegations horrify the hearer and cause people to forever view the person with a question mark over their name and character, painting them to be a monster who preys on the weak and defenseless.

The sports player in the story says he is a fan of Michael's talent [which would be true for many people out there] but that if this story was true, it would forever change his perception of Michael as a person.
Pretty much what happened with the chi-mo allegations, even though there was no proof of that either.
Since 'd' day in 2009, the world in general has acknowledged and embraced the talent of MJ again , but the question of the false allegations has not been addressed in the minds of those in the general population who haven't spent any time researching for themselves. So for those who are still on the force fed diet of the news stations and tabloids, this is how it still is in the deep reaches of their minds.

Yes, I am still hopeful that the abomination of the public lynching done to Michael by the 2005 trial and media coverage will be exposed for what it was. Now that would be my BAM.

To me it's so strange to see the most odd subjects the media brings to life, 5 years and more we didnt hear a thing about bubbles, and now all of a sudden... i wonder what will be the next story, is TMZ trying to smoke MJ out of his hiding place , or is it just a publicity stunt for Jane's G. Book ...

I hope you are Right about your BAM RK, but i do doubt that will ever be the case...after all this time.

Maybe TMZ providing evidence for this list that Wade Robson, ask the Estate of Michael Jackson
  • This MJ alleged monkey abuse story is again a worthless copy&paste attempt by those shallow thinking money grabbing tabloids, which is getting boring :screaming-7365: ..yet I hope that these kind of stories are starting to make people realize the ridiculousness of it all and get them to THINK first than to believe them.
