It was known that Michael was fascinated by illnesses and surgeries. It's also mentioned in J. Taraborelli's "Magic and the Madness." <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) -->

AND INTERESTING THAT THE IRISH DOCTOR HAS STRONG EVIDENCE .......IF HE IS TO BE CALLED AS A WITNESS..................xx
  • Very interesting - thanks!
Dr. Patrick Treacy said the same thing (about the presence of an anesthesiologist) in this other interview (6:05-6:18):

I also noticed that he said, "I was in Michael's house 2 days before he met the [?]..."
(around 6:22) Treacy got cut off by the interviewer and I couldn't make out what word he was on the point of uttering. I heard qua-
  • The snippet included in the original video posted here comes from this interview, which is very good (but seems to get cut off at the end of part 3):

Treacy implied that he knew MJ about 2 years before 6/25/2009, which would mean around 2007.
Here are some of the things he said:
    1. Michael was a very good person who did his humanitarian work behind the scenes and "lived his faith". Michael wanted to do something for HIV kids in Africa, and "was gonna set up concerts" in Rwanda, where Grace (the nanny, I presume) grew up.
    2. Michael was "very intelligent", "an avid reader", a good pianist and guitarist, and "very into medicine". He also knew random facts - about fish anatomy, Ireland's history...
    3. Grace is a "lovely person, with Michael's interests always at heart".
    4. Michael often spoke of Tom Mesereau, "in the fondest terms".
    5. Michael never really discussed the Bashir issue with Treacy, but Treacy got the impression that Michael was deeply hurt by Bashir and never forgave the man who introduced him to Bashir (Geller, right?).
    6. While Michael loved the fans, he felt let down by his country, and complained about the media in particular.
    7. "At times Michael lived penniless, I know this."
    8. Michael "got propofol from us", but he wouldn't have it without an anesthesiologist.
    9. During the 6-7 months that Treacy knew or was in touch with Michael, he never saw him sluggish. (Michael didn't appear drugged.) Treacy also never saw anything at MJ's house.
    10. During the same 6-7 months, Treacy only gave Michael 1 or 2 prescriptions, and none was for a drug or medication that would be given for insomnia. They were benign stuff, 1 being for a cold.
    11. Treacy is afraid that during the Murray trial MJ will be "made out to be some sort of drug freak" who would self-inject with propofol. [The implication here is that MJ was NO drug freak, at least during the time that Treacy knew him.]
    12. Treacy has been offered serious amounts of money to give the media "dirt" on Michael - which he says doesn't exist.
    13. Treacy has met many celebrities, but "none like Michael". He believes it will be a very long time before this planet gets another person with that level of "integrity, spirituality and creativity".

For our purposes on this forum, I think points #5, 7, 8, 9, 10 are especially relevant.
