IN the link above it states

".....Jackson leaves the modern sounds almost entirely behind on "Behind the Mask," which sounds somewhat dated. Maybe that's because it was written in 1979."

That song sounds nothing but modern to me! Its one of my favorite tracks on the album.
To me it sounds nothing like MJ's off the wall days.
What do yall think?

    i Agree, if he wrote this in 79, wow! he was ahead of his time but he always was. But i know for sure he didnt sing it in 79. I know they didnt say that, but thought id add that.

    And also has anyone heard that michael sang through a pvc pipe for monster?
