    If what I have read is accurate, Michael wrote the lyrics of this song in 1984... however the new lyrics seem to be widely different from the version Eric Clapton sang ... so Michael must have revised his original version recently? Anybody knows?

    My theory is that all of the songs on the album were actually done in Michael's "time off" between his "death" and the album release. So I totally agree with the lyrics being changed recently as Michael seems to have wanted to fix quite a few of his songs since they were leaked. The media can tell us that the producers did all of the music, but they aren't fooling me. Michael made this new album with their help, and only had to credit the producers to cover himself. Take "Hold My Hand", "I Like The Way You Love Me", "Another Day", and "Behind The Mask" for example. They were all changed, noticeably. Nobody can tell me Michael had nothing to do with that. We need to open our eyes.

    i listen to behind the mask with headphones on and i hear clearly that its michael jackson singin , but his voice seems to me like the way he sang in the 80"s <!-- s:o -->:o<!-- s:o --> he sounds so young if you understand what i mean <!-- s:oops: -->:oops:<!-- s:oops: --> so i dont know what to think about it ,i really love the album <!-- s:D -->:D<!-- s:D --> my favorite is breaking the news ..

    It was said (in the article that came out with the release of "Michael") that the vocal tracks on "Behind the Mask" are the original ones from the 80's when he originally wrote/co-wrote the song. It was recorded but he couldn't release it for legal/copyright issues at the time.
