[size=14pt]Dr. Conrad Murray Wants His Jury Sequestered Because Of Casey Anthony[/size]<br /><br />Dr. Conrad Murray, who is currently on trial for the death of Michael Jackson, is asking that the jury overseeing his case be sequestered. It seems that Dr. Murray is fearful the jury's opinions of the case will be swayed by the mass amount of media coverage and he wants to ensure he'll get a fair trial.<br /><br />When his lawyer brought this motion before the judge, he cited the trial of Casey Anthony as an example of how the media can sensationalize a trial and make it difficult for jurors to judge objectively. In his motion, Conrad's lawyer explained:<br /><br />"The recent case of State of Florida v. Casey Anthony, which took place in Orange County Florida…demonstrated the danger that is created to a fair trial when basic information is managed for the purpose of entertainment and television ratings. Judge Belvin Perry, who presided over the Anthony trial, expressed dissatisfaction with the amount of media coverage."<br /><br />We suppose it's fair for the trial, but we don't see how fair its for those poor jurors. They're stuck working on this case and now they have to be put in isolation. Besides, they've surely been exposed to PLENTY of media coverage about him already. Judge denied the defenses sequestration potiton. Also Judge denied defenses potition to keep most of the media coverage of testimony out of the  court room. So we get to hear who is saying what and who did what, thank you judge Judge is quoted as saying "He didn't want the jury to feel like prisoners"
