• I saw this on the website and I was totally disturbed by these photos. Why can't children just be children? Innocent and honest. It's sad. It's like they are exposing their pervertness more and more to try to get the general public accepting of it and sadly, if the general do not WAKE UP, then they too will not blank an eye at this five years from now.

This is so disturbing. I may be way off here, but the first thought that came to me when looking at these was Suri Cruise. I get the same sensation when I see pictures of Suri in her high heels and designer clothes. It's just plain wrong.

This is not only disturbing but also it is very disgusting. They are taking their innocence away. Let them be kids and leave them alone.
  • This is so incredibly sad. All anyone cares about is sex, sex, violence, and more sex. Whatever happened to just being a kid?? That's why I hate seeing shows like 16 and Pregnant and shows about teenagers having sex on MTV and other networks. These people become mini celebrities and so kids think that that lifestyle is ok. :'( I wish people would care enough to preserve children's innocence. And people think that Michael was strange ::) They should look in the mirror

That was exactly my thoughts
  • in my heart i have always felt this is why they wanted to ruin michael. he was telling us we are supposed to be like children (us the adults / with a child's heart). evil wants to take that out of the world. evil wants to make them to loose their innocence . i believe he called it so well when he said when he saw children he could see God . they couldn't let that catch on. maybe i sound crazy but that is just the way i see it.

    so horrible and shocked :o
all i want to say it that this world need mj :(
speechless
  • This disgusts me,it´s horrible and not right. Let them just be innocent children and have a normal childhood. >:(
  • I am sorry, but this is the parents fault. We cannot blame the photographers, nor the lingerie from France, or where ever country it comes from. Parents want these children exposed to the media. Children have to be children, not grown ups. Look at some programming we are seeing, example the "little tiara princess" Parents who are forcing young girls, when I say young they are 3,4, 5, yrs old to enter a beauty pagent. What on earth for? Stop it,they are ruining the child big time. Well if it weren't for idiotic parents like that we wouldn't have a job as a pshychologist, and try to fix what they screwed up in the first place.

Actually it is the parents who need therapy not these poor children. I will stop here because I will be afraid I will go off my rocker lolol/

That is true parents are the guilty, if they do not offer their children as a merchandise or " objects " these things do not happen

Underwear for girls inspired lingerie for women
French fashion firm launched a line of underwear for girls, whose products and advertisements have generated controversy
By Ashley Strickland
Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 13:16

jours-apres-lunes.jpg

(CNN) - They look bras and panties, some pieces adorned with pearls and hair style Brigitte Bardot, and throw a smile at the camera. The images are the same as many other lingerie ads designed to seduce, but it is girls who are not yet old enough to need a bra.

The French company Après Monday Jours designed a line of Loungerie -a mix between loungewear (clothing to be home) and the lingerie-for girls between 4 and 12 years of age. As a teen line seems to be appropriate, but for smaller designs have caused controversy.

The company's mission is to be "the first designer label dedicated to creating Loungerie for girls and teens, comprising loungewear (clothing to be home) and lingerie to be used over and under clothes, inside and abroad ".

Fashionista.com was the first medium to make history. "What is disturbing about Jours Apres Monday is not just the fact that lingerie is probably not for people who are old enough to know even what is lingerie, but the pictures on their website," said publication.

In the comments section, readers are debating whether this is appropriate and question whether the girls are old enough to make decisions about how they want to look, even debate whether the style of the photographs have a sexual connotation.

In an interview with the website The Lingerie Journal, the creator of Monday Après Jours, Sophie Morin defended his brand and image for the campaign.

" There is no vulgar connotation , "he said. "The materials are totally opaque, no transparency, no lace. The triangle-shaped tops - there are only two in the collection, used in bathing suits for younger girls as a first support for young girls, even for young women who are not seeking proper support, as the tops that I offer no design. There is no bras in my collection, "he said.

"The girls are not wearing heels, or nail polish or lipstick," said Morin. "Their hairstyles are exaggerated, as are the games and the world of girls. These models are not professional models Lolitas who stole women's clothing. " WTF??

The comments in the report of Fashionista.com show that many who have seen the ads do not believe in the 'universe of girls' that Morin hopes to convey.

The makeup of the models, but does not include lipstick, was another disturbing factor for the spectators, and although Morin says there's no bras in the collection, it is assumed that the top of the "swimsuit" looks lingerie.

Morin also said the Loungerie is distributed in the U.S. or the UK.

Criticism of the French clothing line do not differ much from the time that Abercrombie & Fitch announced its push-up bra Ashley, originally designed for girls aged seven years, but then marketed to girls age 12 after a public outcry.

In 2007, U.S. American Psychological Association developed a task force of psychologists to address the sexualization of girls in any way by the media . Dr. Tomi-Ann Roberts was part of that working group and continues to address the image of the female body and sexuality.

Roberts and his colleagues say the sexual objectification of women to an ever decreasing age is something that has occurred over the past 20 years in advertising. The spread of photos Jours Apres Monday was not a surprise for her, but still considers these campaigns as "disgusting and sick".

In a society that continues to value the younger women, we have reached the lower end, said Roberts. "This campaign, with its large display of stuffed animals, is eerily similar to a recent fashion show Victoria's Secret, where scantily clad models teddy bears dragged on the runway."

As for the girls who participated in the shoot, Roberts believes they know how to render a sexualized aspect.

"I think the world of advertising is trying to convince everyone that youth is the only good moment of life," said Roberts. "It's like this: We have been obsessed with youth, so let us leave just 6 years old. Today's girls compared with being artificially be pretty sexy."

"We have already said as a society today that the appeal is made by a voyeuristic sexuality, tinged with pornographic, demands attention . The girls know it very well. If I tell a girl: 'It looks nice, "she lower your chin, open his eyes and turns to one side . That the all around. What we have learned to pose in this way is that there is something in your body that is publicly consumable. "

Would you buy this type of underwear for your daughter? Share your thoughts in the comments section.

http://mexico.cnn.com/salud/2011/08/21/ropa-interior-para-ninas-inspirada-en-lenceria-para-mujeres

This is indeed very disturbing and sick. But what is the most disturbing fact for me is that these magazines are still being bought by the public. Same of course goes for tabloids. So on one side some people complain on the content but on the other people still buy these magazines.

We should not forget that these magazines, tabloids exist as long as people buy them...

It seems like a chicken and egg problem, what needs to start first? Media changing or audience changing?
Otherwise it is a blame game that looks like a closed circle, at least to me. :(

Yeah, it is true if people buy that continue these publications. About 5 months happened a case here of a girl of 6 years that she was raped, ..and violators were some boys of 14 and 15 years. The education that children in the home, internet without control by parents, television and these publications have to do with it.

I have a little niece who is almost 2 years old. She's the cutest little sweet innocent child. Why any parent would want to sexualize their young daughter is beyond me. I want my niece to stay as sweet and innocent for as long as possible. It's so sweet to see my brother with her - I was at their place yesterday and we watched Tangled with her. After a while, my niece went to cuddle with her mom, covered in a blanket up to her neck. My brother kept looking over at her and smiling and then saying to me "Look at her cute little face". She's lucky because she is very loved and her parents always give her the attention and love she needs. That's what all parents should do. There seem to be a lot of "problem" childs in the world today and that could be severely reduced if parents showed their children love and affection on a daily basis. A child who knows they're loved is not going to rebel or lash out at others around them. And children should not think of themselves as "sexy" and the fact that there are people out there who think they should is sickening.

Also - what's with the Amy Winehouse bee-hive hair do in that first pic??
