[size=14pt]Murray could reapply for his Nevada license[/size]<br /><br />Dr. Conrad Murray's felony conviction for involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson could stop him from obtaining a medical license to practice again in Nevada.<br /><br />Before his arrest in the June 2009 death of the 50-year-old Jackson, Murray operated cardiology practices in California, Texas and Nevada and lived in Las Vegas.<br /><br />Nevada Medical Board official Edward Cousineau said Wednesday that Murray didn't renew the medical license he obtained in 1999. It expired July 1. Cousineau said Murray could reapply, but a felony conviction relating to the practice of medicine is grounds for denial.<br /><br />Murray lost his four-bedroom home on a Las Vegas golf course this year to foreclosure.<br /><br />In a TV interview given before Monday's conviction, the doctor defended his use of the surgical anesthetic propofol to put the entertainer to sleep. He also said that he did not tell paramedics he had administered the drug because the amount he gave Jackson was inconsequential.<br /><br />He said he did not feel a need to monitor Jackson constantly and acknowledged being on the phone outside the singer's bedroom where he could not see him.<br /><br />In retrospect, Murray said, he probably should have walked away when Jackson asked for propofol.
