I don't think I could say it any better, had a rought couple of days and lost the peace in my heart, this has re established it, the pictures actually made me cry!

Thank you! :bearhug:
  • :) THANK YOU SO MUCH for these pictures... I'm so damn sensitive I've cried... but tears of joy. I was particularly saddened because of a campaign I saw today in the Paris subway. Every summer, there's a campaign to prevent people from abandonning their pets when they go on holiday. The picture was so heartbreaking I've almost cried in the subway. It's zoomming on the face of a dog who has tears in its eyes, and it says : "An Animal can't cry. It just suffers silently." I started thinking about all these bastards who buy a pet "because it's so cute" and abandon it at the first inconvenience. I can't even throw away my Christmas tree before it's completely dead because I feel like a consumerist bitch ! I tend to be very pessimistic about human nature, sometimes I'm bitter so I really need these kinds of pictures/ stories ... It's a nice feeling to see we have so much in common on this site: same humanism, intellectual curiosity, independence of thinking, open-mindness, .. Whatever the outcome of this adventure is, it will always be a priviledge to be able to know you guys. :bearhug:

pleure.jpg

"An Animal can't cry. Thank you for posting these pics! I really needed to see this side of humanity right now, because 6 days ago, I saw the other side of humanity...the ignorance for "LIFE". We lost a canine Family member to a senseless "MURDER", by 2 hunters, who say they thought she was a Bear!! My brother was walking down a dirt road, near a campground with Jemma his Black med. size dog, wwhen my brother stepped off the road a couple of feet when he heard 2 shots and then Jemma Yelp. He ran to her only to see 2 hunters walking AWAY in the other direction!! They weren't even going to check to see what it was they shot, until my brother yelled to them!! Then they said they thought she was a bear...well if they thought that, then they were shooting at a cub, because Jemma is in no way, close to being the size of an adult bear!! Oh, and it was 45 minutes before the closing of bear season, and they hadn't shot anything all day, so Jemma was like they were going to get a shot in regardless!! Such a reckless regard for LIFE! We have been devastated and I have never cried so much in my life! This dog touched so many peoples lives, she was the sweetest spirit you could ever imagine, and we miss her so! The good side is that there were 2 shots fired, and my brother was spared, his faithful companion took the bullet for him.

These pics help restore my faith, and I needed that extra boost, to find my own spirit again, so thanks for coming to me at a time I needed this most. Blessings and LOVE to everyone!

LIVE every day, like it's your last, and show the world your LOVE!!!
Peace Family...I LOVE you all!
Aww, I'm so sad your brother's dog was killed so senselessly. Glad your brother's okay!

Paula, thanks for the touching stories!
  • if we erradicate racism and never display it ever again, our young will learn from our behaviour. it could be wiped out on a global scale.

racism is a learnt behaviour. if we are racist or full of hate. our children will have no other example to follow... if we are full of love and display equality to people and eliminate the 'skin' issue completely from our minds and actions, our young will have no other example to follow....

it could change the world...

kids-hugging2.jpg

children are born naturally to love. we teach them how to hate..
OMG!! This is simply heartbreaking!!! There are no words to comment atrocities towards animals!!
Those cannot be called people or humans!! These are simply BEASTS!! no brains ! no heart! no soul!
If I could , I would interdict hunting for hobby everywhere in the world!!! This "sport" simply encourages idiots to do monstrous things + they cause so many accidents with people dying ! Hunting is one of the most senseless and cruel LEGAL activies that "humans" undertake!

I am so with you on this, mjj4ever777 !!
Love you!! :bearhug:

OMG those pictures have brought tears to my eyes. For some reason I am an emotional mess today. Kind of all over the place. Forgive me. Thanks for this thread. Doesn't human kindness ROCK though!!!! YES! And it doesn't cost a thing.
  • Those are beautiful and touching pictures, which brought a big smile on my face, thank you PaulaC.
I will never give up faith in humanity, yet I consider these kind of pictures and stories as a confirmation of humanity and a motivation to spread these messages and pass them on to next generations.

@mj4ever777: I'm sorry for your brother & his family about the loss of their dog. :bearhug:

To help others could be actions in different ways. It can start with doing small things to help one another...

quotes_on_helping_others.jpg
L.O.V.E.

Same here!

Thank you for posting. It´s good to be reminded that there is still kindness and love out there. Doesn´t happen too often in everyday life though (unfortunately and sadly).

@Paula...thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures...I LOVE seeing human displays of respect, kindness, and love. We are SO bombarded with all the 'bad' in the world...and there is quite a LOT of bad, too much of it. And that's generally all we ever hear about or see...you can't turn on a tv or look at a newspaper without feeling loss of hope for the planet and for humanity. That's REALLY draining on the spirit and we are affected by seeing 'bad' 24/7 on a very deep level, even if we don't realize it. I often think that it's done on purpose...to keep everyone feeling down and hopeless and scared and separated...and that thought really pisses me off. For all the bad that is out there, there is SO much good that happens every second all around the world. And for the most part, it remains hidden or 'unknown'. Why? Cause good news doesn't sell.

The only way to stop the 'bad' is to learn about it (by reading/watching what's going on in the world and in our own backyards), discuss it and try to solve it...and then pay it forward, so that the next generation has a fighting chance to make it/get it right. (@aussie, I LOVED what you said about teaching children, SO true and should be 'common sense', but unforunately it seems foreign to many). But, we should also ALWAYS take time to look for and be aware of all the good that IS out there too. It's the 'ying' to all the bad 'yang' lol...and it does wonders for the spirit/soul. If Paula's ok with it....I'd like to suggest that we use this thread to post any good news or inspiring pictures that we come across, like the ones Paula and some others have posted. There IS love happening every second, amid all the hate, and we NEED to feel/see that love in order to allow the hope to grow. And we need hope for humanity to grow if we're gonna stand a fighting chance at making that change.

@mjj4ever ... I'm so sorry to hear about your brother's dog, especially the circumstances involved in the loss. I've never understood hunting...sometimes I think it's cause I'm female and it seems to be a male thing...but I also know many males who don't understand it either. It's got to be some sort of mental dysfunction (that's how I see it)...in a certain % of (primarily) males. There's no word to describe the feeling of knowing that a life was lost due to someone else's dysfunction. (P.S. I hope Chase is doing well)

With L.O.V.E. always.
