<br />PARIS JACKSON<br />FACEBOOK DESTROYED HER<br /><br />Paris Jackson's deep depression has been largely the result of bullying ... and Facebook has been hosting the haters.<br /><br />Sources closely connected to Paris tell TMZ ... the 15-year-old has been reeling from comments left on her Facebook page --- many about Michael Jackson and his lifestyle.  Some of the comments involve the various molestation allegations ... others involve the odd life Paris lived while Michael was alive.<br /><br />We're told Paris has taken the comments very personally ... and one source says, "They destroyed her."  The source adds, there's a nexus between the bullying and her penchant for cutting.<br /><br />Now here's the problem.  Paris does not have access to her Facebook page while she's in the psych ward at UCLA Medical Center.  But her family is deeply concerned that she'll backslide if she goes back on Facebook when she gets out.<br /><br />The family is extremely frustrated, because they've tried to shut down Paris' Facebook page, but they can't --- Facebook's policy is that the family of a user has no right to shut down an account if the user is 13 years of age or older.  <br /><br />Paris' family believes Facebook could create yet another tragedy in the Jackson family, but they're powerless to do anything about it.<br /><br />http://www.tmz.com/2013/06/26/paris-jackson-facebook-attempted-suicide/

    So they want to close her Facebook but not her public, verified, 1.3 million follower twitter account? I've actually seen some of the nasty shit pple write to her. If anything should go, it should be the twitter. <br /><br />Paris publicly  stated several times she has no other social media other than twitter. Now I do believe Paris has a Facebook (I obviously can't prove it, it's just my opinion). But I'd bet that Facebook is private and for family/friends only, so why would any haters have access?<br /><br />So her tumblr (which I highly doubt even existed) and her Facebook (which probably doesn't exist either) are the focus of her cyber bullying, but her twitter, which is verified, gets no mention?<br /><br />And again, no PROOF that the accounts being mentioned belongs to her...<br /><br />Idk

    <br /><br /><br />I agree. This could be Paris's cause to raise awareness. Most people who have been bullied feel alone. Now they have one of the worlds most famous teenagers, daughter of one of the most famous persons to ever live, as someone to identify with. If this can happens to Paris Jackson, it could happen to anyone.  <br /><br /> Also, I think this could put pressure on all social media to be more proactive with the handling of cyber bullying and be more preventive to cyber harassment. <br /><br />The same way MJs "death" put a spotlight on these celebrity doctors that dish medication to high profile celebs like its candy, Paris could be shining a light on social media and its lack of vigilance on cyber bullying.

    facebook and twitter, both have privacy settings and other features in place to prevent bullying and such things.  Quite easy to adjust things as needed.

    <br /><br />and isn't this whole conversation pretty much what michael was telling bashir? problem is no one paid attention to what he really had to say because of what happened with what was made out of the gavin thing.

    I got a pretty interesting story to tell you guys.  I have a teenage daughter that has a Facebook account and she does not tolerate cyber bulling.  There was an incident in which a girl that now goes to her school from junior high was being bullied by someone out in Colorado and I live in NY.  My daughter asked this person why he was bullying this girl and telling her to kill herself and that she was ugly.  He told my daughter that he new the girl and that he heard a lot of things about her.  Well, let me tell you what happen he was one of many that was bullying the girl.  My daughter told the other people that they need to stop what they are doing that this is not right and that they do not know the girl well enough to say awful things about her. They agreed and apologized to the girl.  As for the guy well let us just say that my daughter  did not hold any punches with this guy and said some pretty unlady like things to him. One of the things that she told him was how would he feel if the girl would have committed suicide.  And she told him that if the girl died from this bullying that he will personally will be paying for her funeral. She stated that he had the nerve to tell my daughter that he know the girl and off course my daughter replied back no holds bars so very unlady like comments to the guy about know her to the effect of how in the **** you know her if your butt (not the word she used) live in Colorado, she stating that she went off on the guy. And she also told the guy that if he did not personally apologized that she will make a special trip out to Colorado and kick his you know what( the guy was Caucasian) and she did not used that word either, she was not polite. And guess what the guy apologized to the girl.  The girl saw my daughter the next day in school and thank her.  My daughter stated that it was nothing and that she cannot stand unjustice and things like that. My daughter has a very short lease on things like that.  So you can imagine how she felt when I told her about Paris Jackson stating that she was being bullying on Facebook.  She was pissed the hell off. She wanted to get on Facebook and curse those people out.  She stated that if Paris needs for her to make any special trip to personally kick somebody butt(again not the word that she used) then she has no problems with that. My daughter do not hold any punches when she  feels that someone is being treated unfairly.  So if anyone of the Jackson family reads this they can be aware that Paris got a friend that will back her up. I told my daughter many times that violence do not solve anything.  She  stated that she is trying, but it is hard with some stupid people in the world.

    How old is this article??  Paris is no longer at UCLA medical centre.  She has already moved to another facility...<br /><br />TMZ state that she is no allowed to use any social media while she is in UCLA psych ward..
