MJ Soundalike -- I Sung Songs on New 'Michael' Album
6 minutes ago by TMZ Staff
A guy who once fooled the public into thinking a song of his was really sung by Michael Jackson is claiming he sung a few of the songs on the new "Michael" album ... and not MJ.
Back in 2007, a song called "Mamacita" made the rounds ... with people thinking it was a new MJ track. Turned out it was done by a guy named Jason Malachi, who sounded just like the King of Pop.
Today, Malachi took to his Facebook page and made this claim:
"Sheesh guys, I guess it's time to confess. I've lied to many people, including someone today, but.... It was me. It was me who sang Breaking News, Keep Your Head Up, Monster and Stay.
"I had a agreement with the record company, but now the cat is out of the bag. Sorry to all my fans, and fellow Michael Jackson fans."
Check out Jason's most recent work below ... gotta admit, kinda MJ-esque.

<!-- s --><!-- s --> I can't believe TMZ ran with this article!
They added this youtube:

Anybody with ears can hear that he doesn't sound like MJ, not really. I think that's why TMZ added it. <!-- s;) -->;)<!-- s;) -->
The vocals from that YouTube song sound strange, kinda like he's in a tin can or something if you get what I mean. Sounds altered to me.

Well it's certainly not on the album, don't think I've heard of that one.
I wonder what Jason really meant when he said, "the cat is out of the bag".
I bet Michael is lovin' all the controversy!
Critical, Jason Malachi, how I do, New single ???

This is "Stay", it's another Cascio track that leaked a few days ago.

Interesting. Critical with cross, the ekg looks like about to flat line.
I agree - with all the doubles debates, people aren't sure what he looks like anymore. Now with all these is it/isn't it song stories, they don't even know what he sounds like either!
Perhaps it's another way of MJ teaching us to get rid of pre-conceived ideas, to question everything in the world - even him!
Or maybe it's simply others seeking attention and/or money and not allowing the MJ machine to lay idle.
P.S. Monster is my favourite track on 'Michael', whoever is singing it!
You are aboslutely right. They do not need to investigate, they have everything in a silver platter. Wow! Imagine if they hacked his facebook, and TMZ publicised this, that can put JM in a big fat hole. They should have investigated more before splattering all over the internet. Oh well! Unless TMZ knows something we don't know. oops we already knew and found out. <!-- s --><!-- s -->
I was listening to Stay, Mamacita, and Bigger Man just now, and I agree they sound like they could be MJ but kinda wimpy like he has to tone it down cause he's trying to sound like some other person, holding himself back. <!-- s:? -->:?<!-- s:? --> <!-- s --><!-- s -->
This goes is necessary to bring many controversy, I can imagine to the fans, Karen Faye..
By the way, that Jason twitter post, someone help me out. Is this legitimate, was it posted on his real twitter?
Michael is 100% on that song!
I really wanted to have it on my MP3!
It is Beautiful ... wonderful... amazing!!!
How I love Michael's voice! Nothing compares to it!
I love you Michael!
Who is singing this song??
Fireproof for you! <!-- s:P -->:P<!-- s:P --> <!-- s:P -->:P<!-- s:P --> <!-- s:P -->:P<!-- s:P -->

The manager for Jason Malachi says Jason never posted on his Facebook page that he's the voice behind four songs on Michael Jackson's new album, adding Jason's the victim of Internet fraud.
Thad Nauden tells TMZ someone created a phony Facebook page in Jason's name, touting that he conspired to fool Sony, the Michael Jackson Estate and the public by secretly singing songs on the album, "Michael."
Nauden says Jason -- a Deputy Sheriff in Maryland -- wants everyone to know beyond a shadow of a doubt ... he did not sing a single note on the album.
Nauden says whoever created the Facebook page is malicious and better lawyer up.
UPDATE: Malachi posted to his MySpace page late last night, "I have NOT made any of those statements that the facebook hacker is posting!!!!!!"

Again, IMO.........this new song "Stay" and all of the songs on "Michael" are, indeed, Michael!
