Neverland Pictures

Maybe this should be in Michael Jackson's speeches, but I think it'll get more attention here. More and more I'm starting to believe (even though I have my doubts about the hoax) that "This Is It" is a film. In Michael's own words:

"I dream great dreams," Michael Jackson said. "Everything I've achieved started with a dream, and of all the dreams, this is the one I am most passionate about. The painter paints, the sculptor sculpts, but they just capture a glimpse of life -- of the subject. And film, this medium, you live with the protagonist, you suffer with the protagonist, you laugh with the protagonist, you despair with the protagonist. It's the most artistic, influential medium of all. I am very proud of what we're doing, and I promise you wonderful and fantastical things to come."

After his onstage appearance, the notoriously shy King of Pop elaborated in an interview about his plans for Neverland Pictures. He said he will be involved in all aspects of the company, such as reading scripts, plucking talent and directing.

"I have a lot to express in film," Michael Jackson said, revealing that his favorite movie is "To Kill a Mockingbird." "I'll be doing the whole thing, behind and in front (of the camera). I love it."

    Oh God, it fits so well..! <!-- s:shock: -->:shock:<!-- s:shock: -->
    Did he finally manage to put his plan into working? <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) -->
  • Wouldn't this just be the greatest if Michael's biggest dream came true and that we were a part of it? Hmm...what a genius. The words he speaks can't make you think he was working on something ordinary.
  • In 2005 MJ told Geraldo he was working on something big, something he was directing. I think this could have been it, it takes many years to plan this and pull it off.

    I do hope his big wish came true. The most important in that speech that I'd like to point out is that he was working behind it and IN FRONT of the cameras (TII?).

    Michael is a genius. I remember hearing him say in an interview how he always wanted to do film.

    I thought Blanket means a "blessing" as MJ said in MB documentary.

    Yes.. Blanket is a theme in the book.. means to protect and smother with love. There is a scene where a misconstrued character gives a blanket to someone who is out in the cold. Its a symbol.

    Gregory Peck called his dog Blanket too.. he was in the original film.
