I hope I have this in the right spot. If not please feel free to move it.

My daughter was watching this movie last night and came across the name "Michael Jackson", among others, listed under "Storyboard Artists" in the credits. Does anyone here know if this was our MJ? The film was made in 2005.

I know he was artistically talented enough to contribute in this way and he loved childrens books. I know he was involved in "The Simpsons" at one point (talking voice not singing voice).

If he was involved I don't know what conclusions we can draw, except that he had his finger in many more pies than most realise and there may be a message in it we have missed.

Safe to say that next time I see this movie (I will if I know my daughter!) and if MJ had some input, I will watch it with a little more interest.

His list of movie projects are very interesting. Does anyone have some kind of proof that this is a different person than "our" Michael? It's common for artists to use pen names. But seriously, look at the movies... Alice In Wonderland...Where The Wild Things Are.... lots of movies that we've thought to be "michael-ish". I wouldn't be surprised at all if he were involved with these projects.

Plot Summary forMonkeybone (2001)
In a coma, Stu Miley a cartoonist who created a comic strip called Monkeybone which features a rascal monkey. He finds himself trapped within his own underground creation and must find a way to get back, while racing against his popular but treacherous character, Monkeybone. Naturally, Monkeybone himself is there, and he and Stu quickly start fighting like cats and dogs. When Stu realizes that his sister, due to a pact they once made, is preparing to pull the plug on him, Stu makes a deal with Hypnos, the god of sleep, to help him steal a golden ticket from Death himself. But when Monkeybone takes over Stu's body and escapes to wreak havoc on the real world, Stu has to find a way to stop him before his sister pulls the plug on reality forever!

Life couldn't be better for cartoonist Stu Miley. He has created a hit comic strip featuring Monkeybone, a petulant rascal with a penchant for wise cracks and racy antics. Stu, happy and in love with his beautiful girlfriend Julie is on the verge of big success, as his comic strip is about to become a national television show. But on the night Stu is to propose to Julie, he is struck down in a freak accident. While Stu's body lies comatose - and Julie maintains a constant bedside vigil - his conscious spirit is transported to Downtown, a purgatory-like limbo existing between life and death. Downtown has a carnival landscape populated by mythical gods and creatures who revel in the nightmares of the living. Upon his arrival, Stu learns his ominous fate: There's no turning back. And just as things seem like they couldn't get any worse, Stu's alter ego, Monkeybone, springs to life to stir up some trouble. Now, Stu must outwit Death in order to return to the world of the living before the doctors pull the plug on Stu's body. But Monkeybone has hatched his own plot that could thwart Stu's plans...

Stu Miley is a cartoonist who created a comic strip called Monkeybone which features the rascal monkey of the same name. Stu is in love with a sleep institute worker named Dr. Julie McElroy. When it came to the night where he was going to propose to her, a freak accident happens and Stu falls into a coma. His spirit ends up in Downtown: a purgatory limbo-like existence between life and death. This is where Monkeybone comes to life and stirs up trouble for Stu. Also, Stu befriends a cat-girl named Kitty. Hypnos tells Stu that to get back to the living, he has to steal an Exit Pass from Death who lives in the Land of Death. Maybe the point isn't that he is actually this person (Michael A. Jackson) but it could be a trail to the films this person, with the same name, has worked on. As you said they are "Michael-Esque films, with many links to his friends and beliefs".

Wow :shock: these pictures are very interesting and also scary! it's like they were drawn by the same artist, i mean in the first picture the one with the portraits of the girl and the boy... you can see that the chin, the nose and the eyes are the same.. this kind of things can not be mistaken, it's like a "footprint" of an artist, is very unique and sublime!
Also the one with the fish...hmm..this one it's from STORYBOARD MAGAZINE (FR) (it's an extract from the opening sequence of a film by Tim Burton, Big Fish)...we can see 777 but in front of this number are also letters.. so maybe this could be an identification number! But 777?! could be a coincidence :? We all know that MJ loves comics and illustration :D
So we know by now that Mr. Michael Anthony Jackson is involved in producing movies :D , he's also a very good artist judging by these drawings, could he also sing? :D But why there is no picture of him on imbd? :? strange

Pretty amazing. A great find. Michael A. Jackson is certainly a very busy artist to not have one picture of him anywhere.

I don't know how to imbed stuff but MJ was a great visual artist. The images you found look extremely similar to his drawings in the Thriller album. My favorite drawing is something I found online of himself as a little boy sulking in a corner with the microphone lying beside him.

I also find it interesting that with Wolfman movie, there's an interview of MJ which Pearl Jr. includes in her emoviebook. He says that the first movie he wants to make is about a werewolf...

Michael Anthony Jackson was NOT the storyboard artist of Tim Burton's BIG FISH. This was Chris Baker.

Michael Anthony Jackson was Visual Consultant. So JACKSON 777 is no signature !!
And to complete the confusion: Michael Anthony Jackson is not listed at all in credits on other sites referring to BIG FISH 


But he has no information about his job on his page, this would be very uncommon for an artist.

This is starting to get a little freaky. I can find no picture whatsoever of a Michael A. Jackson.

Those drawings are so much the same as MJ's own it's scary. All the movies have his favourite themes or his friends in them and Ant(h)ony was the name of Cleopatra's lover (and played by her husband), who was played by Elizabeth Taylor in the movie. No need to mention how close Mike was to Liz.

I'm afraid to ask, could MJ have been (still be) using this name as an alias? Should someone pm Souza or Mo to see what they think?

The huge list that Serenitys_Dream posted of the movies intrigued me. If this is MJ how did he manage to do all that and perform/record as well? So I matched dates of the movies to dates of some of his busiest times:
Bad Tour 1987- no films
Dangerous Tour 1992-1993 - 2 films
HIStory Tour 1997 - no films

My conclusion: he couldn't do as many films because he was OS. Or I'm just reading way too much into this...
