A doppelganger is like a Alter ego of yourself.
Some folklore consider it to be a evil spirit that copy's you.

In fiction, folklore, and popular culture, a doppelgänger (About this sound pronunciation (help·info)) is a tangible double of a living person that typically represents evil. In the vernacular, the word doppelgänger has come to refer (as in German) to any double or look-alike of a person. The word is also used to describe the sensation of having glimpsed oneself in peripheral vision, in a position where there is no chance that it could have been a reflection. Doppelgängers are often perceived as a sinister form of bilocation and generally regarded as harbingers of bad luck. In some traditions, a doppelgänger seen by a person's friends or relatives portends illness or danger, while seeing one's own doppelgänger is an omen of death. In Norse mythology, a vardøger is a ghostly double who precedes a living person and is seen performing their actions in advance. In Ancient Egyptian mythology, a "ka" was a tangible "spirit double" having the same memories and feeling as the original person. In one Egyptian myth entitled "The Greek Princess", an Egyptian view of the Trojan War, a ka of Helen was used to mislead Paris of Troy, helping to stop the war. <!-- m -->http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doppelg%C3%A4nger<!-- m -->

They made a movie about it as well.

My top picks for my double theory are E'Casanova, Earnest Valentino and maybe Micheal Kiss.
    Carlo Riley can be a possibility lol. <!-- s:D -->:D<!-- s:D --> <!-- s:geek: -->:geek:<!-- s:geek: -->

  • Strange for them to do this, and especially to use the term "Doppelganger" that is so popular on this forum. I don't know about you guys, but I certainly don't need anymore proof that TMZ is majorly involved in this and on Mike's side.

Jacilovesmichael If it is true, but there are people on the forum who think that TMZ is mocking us. <!-- s:? -->:?<!-- s:? -->
The truth is that I do not understand that TMZ would bother to be laughing at us since last year. <!-- s:lol: --><!-- s:lol: -->

I can see that perspective but as you said, it seems like an awfully big waste of time. Plus, if they were truly mocking us, one would think that they would just come out and say things like "these crazy people think MJ is still alive". Why beat around the bush if you don't have to? They would gain a lot more popularity by blatantly making fun of us than they would by giving us all these clues (clues that only the people who are following the hoax pick up on). But I don't think popularity is what they are after. Plus, when the truth comes out, they are going to gain even MORE popularity. Being in on the hoax is absolutely the only thing that makes sense to me regarding TMZ.

How interesting - I just found an article about Carlo Riley and MJ in Tokyo, just posted Sept. 16, 2010 (2 days before TMZ's Doppelganger post)

Carlo Riley: Michael Jackson impersonator shares details of meeting King of Pop (video)

    Katrina K Wheeler
    September 16th, 2010 9:14 pm ET

The world of music has been influenced tremendously by Michael Jackson. He is perhaps the most influential performer to ever walk the face of the earth. And as such, he his impact can be seen all over the world, and in most every genre of music. There is a reason why to this day, fans and the family and friends of the King of Pop are still trying to get through the loss. There is simply no one like Michael Jackson, and most people around the world have come to recognize that since his passing, if they didn't realize it before.

Like E'Casanova, Carlo Riley is a Michael Jackson impersonator who has been deeply influenced by the performer. In fact, he revealed to me that he had purchased tickets to go to London at the O2 arena in London for the first five shows that would have taken place on the This Is It tour. He also discussed what it was like for him to meet Michael Jackson for the first time in Japan.

Jackson fans pay over £1,700 for 30 seconds to see idol in Japan
    Last updated at 17:27 08 March 2007

Excited fans got the chance to meet Michael Jackson in Tokyo today - but only those who could afford to pay 400,000 yen (£1,769.52) for the privilege.

Fans of the 'King of Pop' screamed as he arrived by van at the venue in the Japanese capital for the event, at which he had promised to chat and take pictures with up to 300 guests, but not to sing or dance.

They were not put off by the price.

"I would pay 10 times that amount any time anywhere," said Carlo Riley, a Jackson fan and impersonator with long black hair and a black surgical mask, who danced as he waited in line.

Riley said he flew from the U.S. especially to meet Jackson face-to-face. "If they do it again, I'll pay it again - easily," he added.

Since being acquitted of child molestation charges at a trial that ended in June 2005, Jackson has mostly kept a low profile, spending time in Bahrain and Ireland.

He last visited Japan, where he has a huge fan base, in May to accept a music award. Since arriving at the weekend, he has been mobbed by fans during a shopping trip and a visit to Disneyland.

In November, Jackson sang at an awards ceremony in London, his first public performance since the trial, but his efforts were panned by critics.
