David Foster & Friends: Tribute paid to Michael Jackson, Ne-Yo sings Earth Song

Producer David Foster is one of the most successful people in the music business today. Throughout his career, he has worked with everyone from Whitney Houston to Andrea Bocelli. According to new reports, Foster has taped another new special for PBS entitled, David Foster & Friends. Per the report, singer Ne-Yo was included in this year's show, and he paid a tribute to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

According to a report, the concert took place in Las Vegas as it has in the past. Singer and 'Glee' star Charice Pempengco also joined in with Ne-Yo to perform the tribute. The fact that Ne-Yo was selected to sing Jackson's "Earth Song" is perfect since he was in the process of working with the King of Pop on what would have been a new album. Ne-Yo wrote several songs for Jackson's project.

Jackson's "Earth Song" continues to be a song with extreme relevance regarding the state of the world today, the climate, and the genocide that continues to plague parts of the world. It is certain that as time goes by, "Earth Song" will remain a cherished Jackson classic.

In past interviews, Ne-Yo has discussed possibly releasing a tribute album for Michael Jackson. He has songs that he wrote for the Jackson project, and he does not want to release them for one of his own projects. What do you think Ne-Yo should do with the songs -- should they ever be released?

What do you think of the tribute to Michael Jackson? Are you looking forward to watching the full show on PBS? Is "Earth Song" one of your favorite songs by MJ?
