This is a continuation of my little "experiment".

"Invincible" is the last album released by Michael Jackson before 6/25/2009. It came out on Oct. 30, 2001. When did you purchase it (or listen to it) and when did you come to fully appreciate it (if you did, of course)?

with the exception of the j5 i grew up with and thriller for me everything of significance i have heard about or heard from michael has been post 6/25 (why does that almost seem to compare to saying post 9/11?).
anyway after is my answer.
and it is one of my favorites.
i kind of see michaels music in stages sort of parallel to his life
the early stuff was just havin' a good time enjoying life happy stuff.
there seems to be a spiritual time that came with heal the world , will you be there, man in the mirror.
then after the first allegations and the lisa thing (whatever it was) things got angry.
invincible seems to me like a mix of a little anger left in the manner of you are not going to take me down mixed with a sort of rejuvenation of the more spiritual elements.
that is just how it seems for me .
