Sharing something really strange!

I absolutely had to share this with all of you. I'm still sitting here in shock at what just happened to me and although I think it's probably just me grasping and associating things with Michael in general I still want to share it and get opinions on it. I do market research projects every day in my spare time and I'm a member of over 47 different companies and communities about consumer goods etc...usually stuff like diapers, toothpaste, cologne & just every day items.
Well I was just given an online study that asked a lot of questions about Pepsi and Apple in general, what I think of them etc...., but the really far out thing is, they had me take a very brainwashing, subliminal type of quiz if you will! I had to poise my fingers on the A key and the L keys as words flashed in front of my eyes and rate whether I thought the words are good or bad. They flashed the word "Murder" over and over and "sickness", "fire", "oil spill", "earthquake", "heaven", "hell", "rainbow", "angel"....and by the time it was over I felt really boggled and it made me think of John Lennon's song Mind Games and of course the Pepsi accident and the recent Itunes venture. Is this crazy stuff or what?!! <!-- s:shock: --><!-- s:shock: -->

That is so true. Oh my stars I feel like I have been abused mentally after doing that thing. I'm not sure what the motivation was behind it and I wrote the company a polite little email about my views on the experience.

I felt a little vertigo afterwards. I mean they altered a little checkered square, arrows, fingers pointing and things like that with the words and one thing I forgot to mention was they stressed to do this *and they stressed in bold* AS FAST AS YOU CAN. That reminds me of Kanye West's current song!!! The whole experience was creepy.
  • *speechless* Are you sure you don't want to really complain? I mean, asking them specifically what this is all about? This obviously has nothing to do with every day like surveys and stuff. <!-- s:shock: --><!-- s:shock: -->

PS: Take a deep breath, I'm with ya.

It could possibly be to guage reaction time to more real questions and to weed out who is answering truthfully or just playing around with the surveys to try and make money, for instance some folks don't even try but just sit there throwing random answers out there. Probably to see who is paying attention. Oh I told them I was not happy with it and did ask some questions about it. Very odd with the Pepsi and Apple stuff though <!-- s:| -->:|<!-- s:| -->
  • I'm very glad you made it clear to them you were not happy, because certainly there are other ways to get rid of foul tomatos ... I would think.
  • all I can say is whoah....
