Whole Foods Playing Michael Jackson Songs

Not sure where to put this, but it is an odd thing...in a good way.

The last three times I have been in Whole Foods (natural/organic foods grocery store), a Michael Jackson song has come on. About a month or so I was in there and Don't Stop Til You Get Enough came on. A few weeks go it was Off the Wall. Then on Friday it was Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'. Of course with each one, I just start singing along and getting all happy to hear his music in the grocery store. Sometimes I'll look around and it doesn't seem like anyone else is even noticing. <!-- s:| -->:|<!-- s:| --> <!-- s:( -->:(<!-- s:( --> But, I think at least they're hearing his music even though they aren't paying any attention to it. <!-- s;) -->;)<!-- s;) -->

I just wanted to share this with you all, since I find it very interesting but no one else I would tell would really think much of it or even care. Not saying that Whole Foods is in on the hoax or anything. <!-- s:lol: --><!-- s:lol: --> I guess it still amazes me how widely his music is now back in the mainstream. Although I am sure that it was not an intended purpose of the hoax, it sure has become a great byproduct of it....if you know what I mean. <!-- s8-) -->8-)<!-- s8-) -->

The mall 10 minutes from my house added TV's to the foodcourt about a year ago, and the TV's will play music videos, typically of the current popular songs (you can also request music videos by text message) and the past 3 times i walked in the door, including last night, Billie Jean was on the TV! Then, when I was leaving I walked back through the food court and "Enjoy Yourself" by the Jacksons was on there! I was real shocked to see that! Anyway, it was cool. <!-- s:D -->:D<!-- s:D -->

There's also a movie store that has 10 TV's in the window, and one time I walked by and "Bad" was playing on all those TV's! So I went in the store, and after Bad they played another MJ song, then another! I was in heaven! <!-- s:lol: --><!-- s:lol: --> <!-- s8-) -->8-)<!-- s8-) -->

  • This is great news, for sure. No, they probably aren't in on the hoax but someone behind the scenes has negotiated to have his music played. I have also heard his music in various places and just smile knowing that this is a "TAKEOVER". <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) -->
  • there's a fast-food near me and they play mj almost every day and night :maybe their boss puts the record on <!-- s:lol: --><!-- s:lol: --> ..they also played the new "Michael "cd when i pass over there it simply makes me smile.

Before the "death", MJ's music was rare on radios, or TV.
Now, I listen to 2 radio stations when I drive, so in both I can hear MJ's music, and on TV MJ's videos are now part of the shows.
It's so great to see that happening, so I hope MJ is living to see this and then BAM... <!-- s:D -->:D<!-- s:D -->

I live in Europe and I'm hearing his music all the time, including Hold My Hand and Hollywood Tonight.

My local shopping mall is always playing Michael's songs since June 2009, and has started to play Janet's too. Before 2009 it would be so rare to hear Janet's Together Again on my local radio station, I heard it two days in a row! I think a lot of people can imagine she is singing to MJ when they hear it now. The non-believers that is!

It took him to hoax his death for people to realize how an important and wonderful singer he is. You are suppose to praise people when they are alive not supposedly dead. I am very happy actually estatic to hear Michael songs, in a mall, or grocery stores. I hear them too when I shop, it feels great. blessings.
  • Whole Foods playing the same radio channel that plays the same MJ's songs every day. I would say everywhere in the USA, grocery stores or mall, even offices play same channels taht repeat same songs over and over. It's either 103.5, 94.7 , or 104.3. All radio channels play MJ's songs every day, at least 2 songs a day. The bad thing is that they repeat the same songs as if MJ has written and performed 4-5 songsin his life time. Isn't it stupid? you will never hear "Xscape" or "Speechless", or "They don't care about us", or "History" "Unbreakable", or "Scream" on the radio. Never. <!-- s:? -->:?<!-- s:? -->

I was in our Catos here the other day looking for anything to buy that would cheer me up. But having no luck at first. Well suddenly "Don't Stop Till you Get Enough" came on the radio and immediately I found this awesome military style blouse, some really neat shoes and some perfume that smells awesome called "Moonlight" lol, which of course reminds me of "blame it on the boogie".
