I don't know how old you are (is 93 your y.o.b ?), but when you get older your emphasis shift, other things become more important to you. I would say even more so if you've had it all as a superstar and have given your all to others for such a long time. I think he also wanted to avoid that the world would see an ageing popstar, who 'needs' to perform until he literally can't move anymore.
Admittedly he could have just declared that he wants to become a filmmaker, songwriter, father or what ever from now on. As Kenny Ortega put it aptly when he said: "...death was unnecessary..." But hey, it's Michael Jackson, he is different than other guys, right !
His message is clear. Incorporate more love into your daily life and become aware of the evil things that are going on in the world. We all became or are in the middle of becoming more alert to these things, the forums helped a great deal.
I don't think that a BAM would wake up more people and turn them into independent, critical thinkers. The majority likes to doze and swallow what's being presented, they follow the path of least resistance, instead of the yellow brick road, lol. ! Sad but fact.
And should exposing criminal activity be one of the reasons he went into hiding, I am sure the FBI can handle the completion of any operation without him returning in the end.

I've thought about the previous comment all along too. If he comes back to the public, what does he say, "Oh I hoaxed my death for such and such reasons (and used a dead mans body to do it??). I don't want you media/paps to hound me for reasons and I don't want to live in a glass house anymore. Just leave me alone so I can be a daddy and make may music and do movie."

I agree with a poster above - you do sound very confident in your words, like one who has inside knowledge. I'm wondering how you know the deal with CM was for $150,000? If he is a real doctor that is not much compensation is it? Think about how long he's been on this adventure with the rest of us...and the tarnish to his own name (if it's a real name that is).
I agree with you. Even if Dr Murray goes to jail it does not mean that Michael is dead. We still don't know the real reasons for any of this. The timing for everything in this hoax has been spot on - so it's no surprise that this falls around Easter. My personal hope is that regardless of the meaning, Michael find total vindication from all of the false allegations. And, I do believe we are seeing the tide turn in his favor although there is still plenty of work to do in that regard. Personally, I believe public acknowledgment from one of the accusers would be the one thing that would change the mindset in the most stubborn of people. I just don't think that will ever happen.
I trust Michael whole heartedly and I will be here to the end. In the end I believe that truth will prevail and I believe we will find the truth. I do believe we will have an ending and I believe none of us are probably prepared for what Michael has planned. That's my personal opinion. From the beginning I always have been a firm believer that MJ hoaxed his Death because his life was in danger, but your post really hit me.
You wrote about the life he lead up to June 2009 and that it didn’t match with what he envisioned for himself etc. Time cannot be reversed, and we all know how MJ thought about his childhood. You mentioned that the reason of the hoax might have been simply personal ones. So I started thinking, could it be that he came to the conclusion that his children can’t enjoy their childhood. As long as MJ was there, It was almost a mission impossible, they were hounded by the media, masks, no public schooling, no holidays, no slumber parties, etc. I think that this also didn’t match with what he had envisioned for his children.
Is it for the LOVE of his children that he hoaxed his death, so they could step out of his shadow and so they get the change to make friends, to develop their own identities, go to a public school and other places and not only after closing times.
As a devoted father he didn’t want to take away what he had missed, just a taste of some normal life at the most important time/phase of their lives (puberty). In the mean time I think MJ is making movies and is on the loose in public, maybe with a bald head, a beard, colored lenses and a pair of sneakers

My message in this poem is really that I am trying to make sense of tHIS iS IT! And that I see three different MJ's in it. That he was caught up in being sexy gold pants on stage and the strange media creation off stage. The MJ in the grey suit is the real one who wants to direct and make beautiful music and is an excellent business man. And then i combined that with seeling myself as Cinderella beacuse feel like that a lot of the time.

As long as MJ was there, It was almost a mission impossible, they were hounded by the media, masks, no public schooling, no holidays, no slumber parties, etc. I think that this also didn’t match with what he had envisioned for his children.
Is it for the LOVE of his children that he hoaxed his death, so they could step out of his shadow and so they get the change to make friends, to develop their own identities, go to a public school and other places and not only after closing times.
As a devoted father he didn’t want to take away what he had missed, just a taste of some normal life at the most important time/phase of their lives (puberty). In the mean time I think MJ is making movies and is on the loose in public, maybe with a bald head, a beard, colored lenses and a pair of sneakers
It reminds me of MJ’s own words “don’t forget the children” and the words of La Toya “family comes first”.
So JmseesMJ when you talk about MJ maybe hoaxed his death for personal reasons, I think it is quite possible and I don’t think we can demand a bam or demand a presentation for the reason. Whatever the reason may be, who am I or we to judge? But what happens with Dr Murray without a BAM, don’t you think MJ has some explaining to do, to clear the man’s name.

I agree that if Michael came back most people would still treat him badly and not believe him. Michael is too intelligent to even try and reach some of the hardened hearts out there.
But if Michael does read this forum, I wish you so much love Michael, thank you for everything you have given your fans and I hope you can now relax, have fun and live your life with freedom; YOUR FANS WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU. <!-- s;) -->;)<!-- s;) -->
And of course he would think about protecting his children and not subjecting them to this kind of weirdness...
And he would probably like to get out gracefully, before he became an aged performer who got an applause for any little move he made... Makes me think of Greta Garbo who went into seclusion after her Hollywood careerin order to avoid facing cameras and being compared to how she looked when she was at the height of her career.
So for my part I cannot see any reason for his coming back. He is out of the cage and can walk down the street without any old hoopla! He has become The Man-finally!
And since he has entertained us so royally for so long now is the time for us to entertain him!
Bearing This Is It in mind I was inspired to write a little poem. Nota bene- when I say "I want you back" I mean I want MJ to be back in the form of a human being in the world of the living, not that he needs to step out of the shadows on to a stage again!!!

My message in this poem is really that I am trying to make sense of tHIS iS IT! And that I see three different MJ's in it. That he was caught up in being sexy gold pants on stage and the strange media creation off stage. The MJ in the grey suit is the real one who wants to direct and make beautiful music and is an excellent business man. And then i combined that with seeling myself as Cinderella beacuse feel like that a lot of the time.
Superficial? Oh, we all need to get off the Neverland hoax carousel fron time to time in order to maintain equilibrium. My poem is pretty superficial...But it takes a lot of hard work to appear as superficial as me... <!-- s:D -->:D<!-- s:D -->
