[size=14pt]Michael Jackson Perfume Coming from His Estate; Father’s Schemes Shut Down[/size]<br /><br />There will be a Michael Jackson line of perfumes, but it won’t be coming from Michael’s father, Joseph. I can tell you exclusively that the Michael Jackson estate is in negotiations right now to market its own brands through a conventional big time cosmetics company. The perfume has been created, the bottles are being deisgned, and a name is being decided upon. It will not be called “Thriller,” says a source who’s working on the project.<br /><br />But it’s not a bad idea. Neither are “Bad,” “Dangerous,” “Invincible” or “Off the Wall” (the latter could be body spray!). What’s NOT happening: a line of perfumes from Michael’s father, Joe Jackson.<br /><br />Indeed, the estate is spending extra time shutting Jackson senior down as he makes pronouncements about new businesses he’s dreaming up to exploit his late son’s likeness. Recently, Jackson proclaimed on his website that he and a German firm–UD Group International–a firm with ties to Michael’s one time manager Dieter Wiesner–had somehow gotten the rights in that country to Michael’s name. However, the Jackson estate insists this isn’t true, and that they are contacting their German lawyers to set matters straight.<br /><br />On the website, Joe Jackson can be seen hocking his own line of “champagne,” and carrying on about his new ventures. He tried to launch his own perfume line during the Cannes Film Festival, but that’s been scotched. He also told this reporter about his plans for Neverland style hotels. “That will not be happening,” said an estate source. “We think Joe knows all these things are pipe dreams. He just likes to do the traveling and get the attention,” said my source.<br /><br />Meanwhile, the Estate is looking forward to opening night in Montreal on October 2nd, when Cirque du Soleil unveils its Michael Jackson show. Tickets are on sale in several cities. After Montreal, the show heads to Las Vegas.     Joe just can’t seem to win for losing.  I’m kinda getting a bit disturbed at how the Estate keeps shutting down everything he tries to do.  I do believe that Michael learned to love his father and would want him to have some part in doing something special for him.  I don’t know how I feel about the way they keep shooting Joe down, very publicly. It’s kind of insulting to an extent.  You know what I mean? pale/

    <br /><br />I think the reason Joe's "schemes" keep getting shut down is he isn't actually out there to trying make money off of Michael's name, he's out there to keep Michael's name on people's lips.  Joe is playing his role and I'm sure he's beyond caring what people think of him.  I think he feels much Jackson family pride and will do what he can for his family, even if the majority of the public perceive it the wrong way.

    guys remember a post of front in the back thread about something about the vials , can't remember the term? we momentarily considered something in the vials besides propofol. at the time i had considered it being something like perfume in the vials , due to all the talk about how good everyone talked about michael smelling. thought it was too crazy and idea, especially after the talk of him swallowing it. maybe it is still a crazy idea :-[ haven't seen my jacket in a while now  ;)) :D afraid/

    I think there is a similarity with Joseph prefume and the tributes. Everytime someone is trying to do something it never works. The tributes have been cancelled so many times, this new tribute will be cancelled for sure, since Michael is alive.. That's why they have the 2 brothers saying we cannot do the tribute now it is not the right time withthe trial.  Now Joseph with the prefume idea was shut down by the estate.. Something very fishy going on here.. Michael is pulling all the strings. Go Michael... Go...

    <br />I totally agree!  This is a Jackson family team effort all the way, but all on MJ's terms--not them telling him what to do like in the past. As long as they do what he says they will succeed beyond their wildest dreams. I'm sure they've never had this much money either, except for Janet, but notice she's not too involved.
