It seems this Scottish lass is doing a fine job of interviewing people, Tom Meseraeu, Rebbie & Tito Jackson, David Gest, others. What does Gest know about MJ's most intimate moments with women, hmm... :x Anyway when Tito mentioned about how MJ had a nicname for every person he knew, it immediately reminded me of our own special member here -- Front! And maybe this event has something to do with why TS and Front haven't been here lately. MJ could be lurking somewhere on the red carpet here in London! Unfortunately he could be well disguised as anybody, as he knows we have sharp eyes. :P
Could it be that our Souzie is Susan Yu,T.S is Tom Meseraeu,Tito is back and Rebbie is front, lol,i am joking,i think i am,i dont know what to think at this point anything is possible, right?

This was sad to watch. I suppose I should've known we wouldn't get to see the movie here, but apart from the horrible red carpet bit, they showed David Gest talking to Rebbie, Tito, Mesereau and Susan Lu in front of an audience before the screening of the film.

I find Gest objectionable, Tito cried, 'Susie' was amazing and spoke up for MJ after Gest made some rather vulgar comments, Mesereau is so solid and supportive, and Rebbie is such a lady, gentle, loving and stunning! I'm glad Katherine wasn't there.

They're still showing it on a loop if anyone wants to see.

I feel like I'm in some parallel universe when I witness events like this. I wish I hadn't watched actually - I feel sad and miss MJ very much tonight.

Nah, I don't regret I watched. Yes, sad and emotional, but for a good reason
anyway, proving Michael is innocent, decent and all the way lovely. We need this to
be repeated and shouted out again and again, because world is still
deaf and blind enough. Not people in that audience for sure, but the more times it
is shown, his beauty and innocence, the better.

I'm never tired of Mr. Mesereau, Susan is lovely and emotional.. and thank God
Michael ended up with this legal team! They are great.
Rebbie is beautiful, Tito was.. yeah, I did cry too.
David is a bit too much, yes, with his approach, pouring all that personal
stuff asap, was a bit embarrassing
I loved that Rebbie again said she's looking forward to meeting Michael
and that she repeated what a mischievous prankster he was, that they never
knew what to expect the next moment. He was always full or surprises.
All the touching little stories they shared..
Oh how much I'd love to live on the same street with little Mike, and to be his friend
and a "victim" of his frequent pranks ... wait, who knows, maybe we all are! suspicious//

God, it hurts to see a family member cry. Tito  I cried a lot too. I miss him so badly. Love you so much Michael.
  • If enyone wants to see,my next post will be about THE MEMORY ROOM ,Rebbie told David. It's about Photos, that Michael used to collect, since they/he were/was a child. Also in the photos he is with his FAMOUS Friends, and some of them are also INVOLVED in this WONDERFUL ADVENTURE ;)!!!!
  • I have to admit I was pretty disappointed after all the hype of seeing the thing online...to become aware that there was apparently no intention of actually streaming the film. I liked some of the comments that I heard both on the carpet and in the slightly more formal Q&A. Susan made me tear up talking about how wonderfully decent and humble Michael is. I always love hearing people say positive and reaffirming things about him. Gest though needed to be freaking muzzled  He made completely inappropriate comments while trying to assert Michael's normal preference for the fairer sex. That's what happens when one is ill prepared and then tries too hard. He took a perfect moment of positive feelings for Michael and threw it in the gutter like an Animal House orgy pale/ He'd have seemed more credible if he wasn't trying so hard to push how close a "friend" he's been. Way to shoot yourself in the foot David...and unfortunately by extension cast a pall on what should have been a totally positive and uplifting moment for Michael. Very disappointed indeed.
I feel the same, Curls. After watching I'm even more aware that I miss Michael. And I agree that it was better that Katherine wasn't present there, I think it would be too emotional for her.
Rebbie, Tito, Tom Mesereau and Susan gave a valuable, loving and emotional contribution to 'Life of an Icon'.

I love you Michael.
I bought the DVD and just finished watching it last night. I think that David did an amazing job of humanizing Michael while still maintaining his superstar status. He tells it like it is about Tom Sneddon and his vendetta to get Mike. Frank Cascio says in interview that Janet Arviso had an agenda from the beginning and he could see right through her. I loved the way David then threw in a very unflattering picture of her in torn dirty track pants at that moment. Perfect. Steve Hoefflin gets the treatment also and is addressed for continually whispering in Michael's ear about more and more surgeries and playing on his insecurities. I found it interesting that Randy Tarraborelli featured heavily in the film and he spoke very well of Michael like he always believed in Him and never cast any aspersions on him within his writings, work or interviews. Funny, but that's not how I remember it Randy. You left a lot of controversial things open ended and open to interpretation in your biograghies. As always, T-Mez was and is amazing. Talking about the ten years worth of hetro- porn Michael had at Neverland and how the DA was desperate to grasp at any straws to make their case stick.
The highlight for me as well as the candid and unseen pics of MJ, was when David said these words regarding the 2005 allegations. He worked in the phrase this was the biggest hoax. It made my night to hear the word hoax used in the doco. I loved hearing people like Bobby Taylor talking about how prodigious little Mike was and luminaries such as Gamble and Huff talking of their experiences.
At the end, I found it interesting to see a picture of Samantha DeGossen and crew used to show the mourning fans outside UCLA. I have long wondered if they had a roll to play in this saga as well.
This is a great doco that calls out and names and shames culpable people. Even the lovely Katherine said she considered Dianne Dimond to be a demon. So, well done David [and Michael]. This was awesome. Now I am eagerly awaiting Frank Cascio's book which I have on pre-order.

I've got it on Blu Ray now and will watch it soon! I'll report back with any questions/comments. Hopefully it's not too sad and it goes a long way to restoring MJ's reputation.
