I found this on Facebook and I don't know if it was shared elsewhere of the forum but want to post it here. I saw it on "Arrest Conrad Murray Campaign" group. So here is what they wrote.

Judge Pastor will be accepting letters from fans that will be taken into consideration for sentencing. Please keep you letter 1 PAGE OR LESS, or it won't be read. Check spelling, grammar, and content. Make this the shortest but most powerful letter you can write. Don't send gifts, cards etc.. only letters.
BE RESPECTFUL!!! Try not to talk about Murray, instead - talk about Michael, his kids, family and fans - the loss we all feel, talk about the humanitarian. Just make sure you're well spoken. Make a good impression, we are smart thoughtful people!

Address it to: Attn: Judge Michael Pastor Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center, 210 West Temple St. Los Angeles, CA 90012

This is the first time I've heard that a judge is making his decision according to fan letters.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Arrest-Conrad-Murray-Campaign/218224486728

AHHHH HAAAA so these are really, essentially fan letters TO Michael!!

I've noticed lately on FB that Arnie has taken to posting messages "fans" of his have been writing to him for support!

HUMMMMMMM....
  • I found it on the fb page, you have to scroll down.

What kind of real judge accept fan letters of Michael Jackson fans to determine sentencing?

Yup, if that is officially true that he is doing that, the trial is just a show.

Scroll down a little. It's there. But as I read some of the comments, they say that people send letters to judges in the USA. It's not something weird. People will be asking for a lifetime sentence but the judge can only give 4 years the most, so why need to write to the judge? I don't know. It's weird still.
  • OMG! OMG! OMG! This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in my entire life. I showed this to my friend and she is peeing in her pants. She knows a judge who is very good friend of hers and he said is this a joke or what? He couldn't believe his eyes. He said Probably it is a hoax hahah.. Ok guys this really a circus..

But they say that judges in America and Canada accepts letters of the victim's loved ones before the sentencing. :?:
  • loved ones, lol, not a million fans. Judge pastor is probably getting ready to retire and write his book next with all these leters as memoirs lolol/

Loved ones can send letters to the court, the judge, to give them a chance, it does not mean that he will do what the family is stating. Not millions of fans. For example. Arturo Gatti the Italian boxer died, he was a good friend of my ex husband, he had millions of fans, the judge did not say to the fans to send letters..

The fact that they say this doesn't make it real. Who says the Judge will accept it? This is a fan page. I doubt the judge said he would accept this.

    This can't be true.
Anyway, we should write a letter and send it in time.
  • I think it's normal...it's like a victim impact statement and the judge can decide if it has, no effect or little effect on the sentencing...it happens a lot in Australia...like one incident, a mother lost her son in a car crash and the person who was driving the car (was a friend of them victim, but made the wrong choice) was at fault, but the mother (of the victim) wrote a letter to the judge stating that he not go to prison but do community service, and the judge ruled in favour of what she wrote.

    Now this is dextrous

This seems to be a psychological field study....

/cook/
  • I don't believe some Facebook page (unless of course it was the official MJ page). Whoever the owner of the page is wrote it, and it's only one page among so many other fan pages. I think if it were true we would here it somewhere on the news and Google News doesn't have anything I can see. I would definitely say it's just a rumour.

Catherine23
  • They are a part of justice4mj, and yes it is legit. Still in my opinion, strange as hell.

Accepting letters from loved ones is one thing, but from fans? Not that we are not considered loved ones by MJ :-) But I think they mean family.

But they say that judges in America and Canada accepts letters of the victim's loved ones before the sentencing. :?:
• I don't know what I"m doing wrong, but my posting replies are getting mixed into quoted things others are saying. Sorry about that. I guess I am starting to write before the quote thingy or something like that :-)

I have no idea if this is legit or not but some fans also asked the same question on that page and the person who created this group said that the JUSTICE group who were in the courtroom was told by the judge to send the letters to him. This is what she wrote.

lolol/

Maybe we should also write to the judge and tell him about the oddities in the courtroom.
