This coming Friday, January 8th, 2010 would be Elvis Presley's 75th birthday. Does anyone else feel a Bamsday coming on?

  • Aah... so Lisa MArie will re-emerge.
  • I don't feel any big significance with this date. I think he will come out and make it his personal day, not someones birthday. JMO

I have friends living in Memphis. It is a safe guess that Memphis and especially Graceland will be very busy this weekend with the large crowds of tourists coming in. Graceland always attracts large crowds especially for Elvis' birthday Jan 8th and his "death day" Aug 16th . This year marks the 75th birthday so... watch out Memphis!

Offtopic: Many times hoax forums discuss possible MJ BAM days. Well...Elvis' 75th birthday would indeed be a good one to steal that thunder and draw all eyes toward him.

On the stone wall outside of Graceland, there are all sorts of R.I.P. King of Pop and
R.I.P. Michael Jackson written there. I wonder if they clean it up before this weekend?
  • I think it will be interesting to see what Lisa Marie does and says... as she has (allegedly) lost her father and her ex-husband in similar circumstances.

I will be keeping an eye on this.
  • You can watch it all unfold on elvis.com.
  • I dont get it? why would they write rip king of pop at graceland <!-- s:? -->:?<!-- s:? --> sounds kind of rude...Off topic but today someone had all elvis stuff on like the purse and shoes and wallet and everything...and i was like what about Michael!!! ( I got in trouble hehe )...i not allowed to have an opinion at work whoopsi
so what do they do at graceland on his birthday

oh they did have a video on fox news stating he may still be alive..they even have a pic of what he may look like he is old man with white hair holding lisa's son hmm...and they had the same facial features...but anyways if elvis comes outta hiding it will make people go WOAH!!!!! and double think Michael's death because lisa did state Michael left the same way her father did hahah

    YES - it's my birthday, too <!-- s:-D -->:-D<!-- s:-D -->

    And David Bowie's btw...
  • If LMP knew it was a hoax would she really act so devastated?
  • If LMP knew it was a hoax would she really act so devastated?
Well Maybe she is so devastated because now she has to act as if Michael is dead just like her father...and maybe it kills her knowing that Michael was in such a situation to have to Hoax His Death or something but who knows...Good Question!!

I find it a little bit strange that they would complete the investigation today when they previously stated that it would happen on the 28th or 18th. They have never been faster and often they tend to postpone things, strange what this wasn't.

I watched the Elvis 75th birthday live and both LisaMarie and Priscilla were there as were Lises' two older children . It was freezing, about -1 degrees, so there wasn't much said and they kept it all brief. The daughter and x-wife just thanked all of the fans for coming out in the freezing cold. And repeated, how cold it was. The 2 children cut the cake and not even Happy Birthday was sung. It normally is. What I did see though, was an older gentleman in the back, wearing a white fedora hat, and had grey hair and a beard. He turned and saw the camera behind him and quickly moved away from it. I'm waiting to see a re-run of it to have a better look at this man. I'm not jumping to any conclusions, as it was cold and many people were wearing hats, and there were many older people, but most wore winter type hats. We'll have to wait and see. Other than that, it was kept really short and sweet with the "Mayor" saying things like, Elvis will always be alive, and is very much alive here in Memphis. And the fans are amazing and he loves them all very much. Thanking them for their loyalty and even coming out in the freezing conditions. Other than that, pretty boring. Cheers.....Keep the FAITH.
  • Omg... seriously... sorrybut i just found this.. was looking to see if anyone else had posted it.. this was today...

    facing criminal charges.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) completed their investigation last month and will submit the case to the District Attorney (DA) within weeks, celebrity website TMZ.com reported.

According to law enforcement sources, the LAPD investigation was "exhaustive" and "extremely thorough" and the DA has enough evidence to file a criminal case against Murray.

One law enforcement source connected with the case notes the DA has been actively working with the LAPD and it's all but certain the case will be filed.

As for the charge, a decision has not been made yet, but sources said that its likely to be involuntary manslaughter, which requires a showing of gross negligence.

The case will be presented as soon as scheduling allows. It is expected to draw quite a crowd as a number of members of the LAPD and the DA's office will be present for the hearing
