Unfortunately many foundations formed by celebrities and athletes tend to fade this way. They put faith in people who aren't always trained to manage such huge undertakings and take projects to the next level. Oh well, maybe MJ will try again. This type of foundation is definitely needed and especially nowadays.

It didnt have status, mission statement, vision or formal achievements on paper outside the Dangerous tour donations, and cargo materials loaded to Sarajevo...and informal donations...doesn't look really good.

Indeed, there is no "Heal the World foundation" as we are used to think of (that was the "Michael Jackson foundation 'Heal the World'", dissolved and abandoned by himself in 2002 or so, a small but important difference).
Whoever those people are ... with their newly founded (2008) "charity" they are (ab)using his name and reputation as a humanitarian and trying to take advantage of his fans ... Neither Michael Jackson nor his estate have anything to do with it.
