    i noticed, too, that they included a photo in there with a coke-umbrella and murray's lawyer with a huge coke-cup in his hand. it almost struck me as a 'product placement' and i am pretty sure that there were enough other pics without 'coca-cola' written all over it...so why include this one? things that make you go 'hmmm'... <!-- s:? -->:?<!-- s:? -->

    Does anyone know when these pics went up on the webiste was it before or after the story that coca cola helped cause Michael Jackson's death? Think someone might be playing with us. Pepsi must be fuming, all the publicity they tried to get out of michael and now their bitter rivals are stealing their thunder.
  • Coca-Cola signed a 3 year contract with AEG/the O2 in January of 2009. Coca-Cola must be Michael's new sponsor. We all know that Murray is on Michael's team. <!-- s:D -->:D<!-- s:D -->

    I didn't know <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) -->

    If everyone hasn't seen it I've copied and pasted a copy of the press release from Coca Cola:

    The O2 Announces Major New Sponsor: Coca-Cola

    AEG Europe, owners and operators of The O2, are delighted to announce that ‘Coca-Cola' has become their official pouring rights partner. The three year deal includes both The O2 arena and indigo2, The O2's more intimate 2,300 capacity music venue.

    ‘Coca-Cola' products being served at the venue include ‘Coke', ‘Diet Coke', ‘Coke Zero', ‘Sprite', ‘Fanta', ‘Powerade' and ‘Relentless'.

    ‘Coca-Cola' will develop a customer engagement programme with The O2 that will include benefits for consumers at the venue. This will focus on competitions and cross promotions with their consumer website, ‘Coke Zone'.

    Paul Samuels, Executive Director of Sponsorship at AEG Europe, commented: "I'm thrilled that ‘Coca-Cola' have come on board as a founding partner at The O2. Last year The O2 arena sold 1.8 million tickets making it the world's most popular music venue, and since opening over ten million visitors have come through the doors. These figures, along with the great time people have at the venue, will offer ‘Coca-Cola' unrivalled brand awareness. We will work closely with ‘Coca-Cola' over the next year to help them achieve their customer engagement goals and to maximise all sponsorship opportunities at the venue."

    Cathryn Sleight, Marketing Director for Coca-Cola Great Britain, added: "The O2 has firmly put itself on the map as THE entertainment venue in the UK, if not the world. We have seen what other founding partners have achieved at The O2 and CCGB's aim is to ensure we capitalize on our sponsorship. This fantastic opportunity, from provding our wide portfolio of great-tasting drinks to offering exclusve prizes to consumers on ‘Coke Zone', opens the channel for us to maximise dialogue with O2 customers. CCGB has had a long association with AEG in the United States and we are pleased to be extending this relationship to the UK."

    ‘Coca-Cola' joins a prestigious list of brands that are commercial partners of The O2. These are adidas, ADT, BMW, Credit Suisse, InBev, NatWest, NEC, Nestle, O2 and Visa.

    The sponsorship of the venue is effective immediately.

    Also came across this on the 'seeingclues' website. Someone mentioned its a cola campaign in indonesia and has a slightly neverlandesque theme. Not sure if they are connected but you never know.

  • I am curious about something. A while back, people were saying that CM was an actor. And he appeared in some movie...in the 70s? Does anybody remember this and is it really true?

    I haven't heard anything more about it and so I didn't know if it got debunked or not.

    No, it's true. His acting credits are increasing, he has a documentary about himself and Michael Jackson.
    Hhhmm, maybe his appearances at Forest Lawn, Venice-Coke, child support court appearance, rocking-back-and-forth for his first court appearance before Jackson family, etc...all might be for his documentary???? Does Murray think people will want to see his documentary??

    Ahhhh, this is crazy!! How can he be a physican (if that's what you want to call him) and an actor? Was he a doctor first, then turned actor, then went back to doctor? Or, was he an actor, then doctor and just acting on the side? It just does not make sense to me. Was this for real, the Conrad Murray that is on trial now (da troot ) or a different Conrad Murray that is in the movies?

    1. Conrad Murray (III) (Actor, 24 Hour Party People (2002))
    2. Conrad Murray (I) (Actor, The Plague (2006))
    3. Conrad Murray (II) (Self, "Live from Studio Five: Episode #1.96" (2010))
    aka "Dr. Conrad Murray"
    Titles (Partial Matches) (Displaying 1 Result)

    1. Untitled Dr. Conrad Murray Documentary (2010)

    Names (Approx Matches) (Displaying 13 Results)-idk if names below are intentionally misspelled
    1. Conrad Murrey (Visual Effects, "The Triangle" (2005))
    2. Murray Carrad (Miscellaneous Crew, A Caribbean Mystery (1989) (TV))
  • I personally think Coca Cola are disgusting in doing this.

    I don't know about the others but the Conrad Murray in 24 hours party people, is not our conrad murray, is a white young actor that appears no more that 5 mins.in the film, i saw it.

    We know that Murray Is planning a 2010 documentary about his involvement with MJ, so these earlier pics of Murray prove he was probably just trying to make a buck from acting. The man is just too shady.

    Here you can find the actor that you think is Conrad Murray in 24 hours party people
    <!-- m -->http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0416694/<!-- m -->

    Sorry, months ago i thought he was our CM, but then i saw the film.

    a personal note on the subject of drinking coke keeping you up cuz of 'massive' amounts of caffeine:
    i'm a very heavy coffee drinker, i make it from freshly grounded beans in a french press, this is strong stuff, next possible thing to espresso. the press holds about 1l and i empty one of those every day and when i#m out, i might buy me another one to go. i don't think that a comparable amount of coke (1 can) has as much caffeine as the coffee i drink all day. i have been doing that for decades now, so you might as well call me a coffee junkie. still, i have absolutely no problem to sleep or have a regular day altogether and i have no heart or blood pressure problems whatsoever. physically, i'm a similar type to mike (female, tho) with being about 20 lbs under what's considered a 'healthy' weight, which might even result in low blood pressure, so an 'extreme' caffeine intake will only have the effect that you function 'normally'. it's more like injecting fuel.

    i seriously doubt that drinking coke, even if 2 liters a day (that would be a six pack of cans, not too much IMO), will keep you so hyped up that you develop insomnia and need an anaesthetic to put you to sleep. only thing that'll do is keep you burpin' and your bladder busy all day.
    i'm utterly speechless that this is supposed to be a 'defense' argument for murray.
    what total BS are they gonna come up with next? <!-- s:roll: -->:roll:<!-- s:roll: -->

    Coke and soda in general is awful for you. The sugar and high fructose corn syrup! HFCS is in everything. Look up Monsanto. I hate soda .. Blech
