Michael Jackson portrait stays on the wall
An eBay auction of a portrait of Michael Jackson ended with no bids. The owner, Marty Abrams, had expected that The Book by Brett-Livingstone Strong, an Australian artist, would sell for more than $3 million (£2 million).
The toy inventor acquired the painting with his partner, John Gentilly, in 1992 from Hiromichi Saeki, a businessman from Japan, as payment on a debt. Mr Saeki had paid $2.1 million for the portrait in 1990. For 17 years, Mr Abrams kept the work in storage, but said last month that it was now in his New York home.
