Kanye West Cosigns Michael Jackson Neverland Book - "The Book Is An Amazing Document Of Mike's Treasures"

Kanye West posted pictures on his website from an upcoming book detailing Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch. Neverland Lost: A Portrait of Michael Jackson, produced by photographer Henry Leutwyler, will showcase Jackson's expansive collection of pop art, clothing and artifacts. West also posted a message from Leutwyler on the site with the pictures. It states: "It is said that the pharaohs built tombs to reveal their lives to future generations. Michael Jackson sacrificed his childhood to the calling of his musical gift," Leutwyler wrote. "Neverland was the pyramid he constructed to a lost childhood. The artifacts captured in this book return us to the Neverland he lost."

Kanye also went on to thank the photographer for allowing him to bring the photos to the public for their first glimpse. "Thank you, Henry! I'm grateful to be premiering your photos. The book is an amazing document of Mike's treasures," West wrote. "His clothes, art, and artifacts express the essence of the greatest pop icon of our time. Mike truly was a King!"

  • I don't know how to take Kanye---especially after he proclaimed himself as the new "King of Pop" shortly after MJ's "death". He sort of ticked me off!

I thought it was USher that said that, not Kayne?

But what caught my eye about this was the pyramid references.

A bit rude? I call his behaviour plain arrogance. But maybe he's just playing the rol the big bosses told him to play.

Usher has recently said he's the next Michael Jackson. Sorry but usher will never be on Michael's level.
  • Although I can't stand Kanye, didn't his claim that he was the new King of Pop turn out to be a fabricated story? Or maybe he got enough flack from other people that he claimed it was a story. The most recent one was Jay Z saying that Usher could be the next King of Pop. I would like to know why anyone thinks there should be another KOP? As far as I know, Elvis is still the only King of Rock and Roll and Aretha is still the only Queen of Soul. Maybe this younger generation should just leave the KOP to Michael. None of them will ever be him.

There never will be another king of pop of course there wont but have to say i saw Kanye at wembly stadium in the concert for Diana and he was brill the best act of the show and second was p diddy he made me cry. I kept wishing and wishing for Michael to walk out there but it did not happen there was a rumour that he was going to be there but alas not.

Yeah - I believe Kayne did the opposite by saying there will never be anyone like Mike.

Kayne didn't say that. That was a hoax.

This whole business of pyramids mystifies me. Remember Uri Geller said something about the little pyramid in his back yard held a clue about Michael, then TMZ said this actor (can't remember his name) had a small pyramid built for his future tomb, then all the talk about Michael wanting to do a movie about King Tut, having previously bought a sarcophogus (shown in Bashir int.), and finally the strange 30,000 tons of cement delivered to Neverland. Hm-m-m...
