You'll need to shrink the photo down so it can fit in the avatar thingy and you won't get an "error" message. <!-- s:P -->:P<!-- s:P -->
You can go here to ResizeImage:

(I used it for my animated gifs)
Then you can upload the pic to your avatar box after you save the resized version on to your PC. (I'd choose the "Small or "Medium" option).
