MICHAEL JACKSON's siblings have slammed reports they were jealous of their brother's superstardom - insisting they never resented his success.
The Thriller hitmaker rose to fame as part of The Jackson 5 with brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon.
Michael went on to launch his solo career and became one of the most influential performers of all time, until his tragic death in June (09).
And Jackson's brothers are adamant there was never any ill-feeling within the family, because he was continuing the Jackson "brand".
Marlon Jackson tells U.S. TV host Larry King, "When I see my brother doing that (performing), it makes me so proud of him, being one of the biggest artists in the world. Breaking all kinds of records. I'm so proud of him for doing that. That's hard to do, Larry. It's hard work. His last name is Jackson, right?"
While Tito added, "We (The Jackson 5) worked relentlessly to build this name, to brand this name internationally. And then Michael branched off and continued to even take it to another level with the last name Jackson, it just continued to brand the name Jackson. So no, it's like a machine. We're all working together. And in some cases, just excel."
And Jermaine believes Jackson could have been even more successful if he had lived longer: "That's my brother. We're happy. He was going to go further. We were going to be more proud. He was going to go further, I think."
from what i can see there is alot of disharmony

Since Michael had several reponses on the subject i believe he didnt want to publicly "diss" his family but he was getting pretty fed up at times with them which is why he said what he said. However in the heat of the moment you can get angry and say things you dont mean. However i definatetely think there is truth to other Jackson's being jealous of Michael's fame and fortune.
I cannot remember the show or interview for that one sorry however i think also Jermaine is the most jealous. He clearly LOVES the camera and the spotlight and loves the ladies too. Michael I think even said he was/is a womanizer. Bit of a gigolo there eh Jermaine!!!!
Consider this. The boys started on a level playing field toward stardom. One was singled out, groomed differently and treated differently to become the frontman of the group. As children, jealously had to be in high gear since children are not capable of controlling their emotions in the same manner as adults. Salt is poured on the wound when MJ excels in his early attempts as a child at solo recordings. The seed is planted that MJ really does not need them and can have a successful career without them. Move over and out of the way guys once Off The Wall became a smash hit. The final Jackson tour in 1984 was their last hurrah and all had to know it. No Mj meant no more success. There had to be some deep-rooted jealousy because at that time the others knew that their star had fallen while his was on the rise. Those brothers spent their childhood grooming to be singers only to face retirement in their 20s. MJs hey day of the 80s and 90s must have been a low point for them as musicians. When the only thing that you know how to do is rejected and denied you then you have no choice but to look at who among you can still achieve his goals and feel some jealousy. Quite frankly, it would be normal if they did feel a tinge of jealousy toward MJ since he fulfilled his musical goals while their careers were cut short and at such early ages. Unless all of the other Jackson brothers really wanted out of the business then jealousy had to ensue. As MJ said...it is human nature.
