Asia's on the rise, indeed, not only as to economical growth but also as to a financial (homemade) disaster, holding the U.S. in a dept fist. This is what I said on another thread today:
I just wonder where this super self-image of the U.S. officials is deriving from.
The U.S. are the most endebted nation on the globe. Financial experts abroad are waiting for the big showdown already since months. The largest creditor is China, holding US treasuries of more than 865 billions US$ (in Sept 2010) which is almost double of what is in possession of the UK. Total public loans are adding up to 4.2 trillion US$, of which 2.8 trillion US$ are held by banks and countries abroad. Overall debts of the U.S. are up to over 13 trillions US$.
Bankruptcy vultures are continuously circling. (Yep, one possible solution needs only an elimination of the actual currency, invention of a new one and all worries are gone in a second.) This is how fast the debt clock is ticking: <!-- m -->http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/<!-- m -->

    Thank you, Grace, good info.

That Debt Clock is sickening, though.

Obama is a international disgrace; shame on him - unprecdented national debt for generations to come, BP oil fiasco, global leak of national security info... the dude should just do us all a favour and quit, clearly functioning as President is outside of his skill set.

It is not Obama. It has been going on since decades like that.
Only that nobody thought how much they were lied at.
What is Afghanistan was Iraq. What Iraq was was Vietnam. What Vietnam was was the Moon.
    Every year another "superior" arrogance.
It's how the U.S. were constructed and it's definitely time for a change.
There are folks out there doing a better job.
And what is terrible about that? Nothing.
  • Interesting, world reaction is split on the leaked cables; some people want to know all the details, others say the details will damage international relations.

If you make statements like that, you need to back it up. You can't just say something like that without argumentation.

If I may, I will augument for my fellow hoaxer. According to this news cast URL below, most of the US diplomatic leaks were from the last three years which was during the Obama adminsitration.

The wiki leaks will give the American people a surprise score card on how Obama scored with his transparency and accountablity to the Anerican people who voted him in office.

It will be interesting to see if an 'accountability tribunal' will be called. Personally, I would really like to hear Obama's explanation as to why the American DEA let the Afghan president off with $52M unexplained cash on his person.

I saw a Passionate Eye program about Afghan families who sold their children to the sex trade, near the Vatican, to earn money to send back home to feed their families.

Thanks for your answer but I am aware of the arguments. My point was that people should not just post statements like that without backing it up, like you did now. Otherwise the statements are useless and not helpful.

Proposed qualifying Wikileaks international terrorist organization

U.S. senators have called for with all the force of law to be prosecuted those responsible for leaking documents.

Mexico City .- Given the revelations of the website Wikileaks, members of Congress proposed that the group is designated as "terrorist organization"and urged the U.S. government to initiate a prosecution.

"The escape of the material is deplorable," said Sen. Lindsay Grahamof South Carolina, to Fox News. "People WikiLeaks could have blood on their hands ... The people who do this lie at the bottom ..."

For his part, Sen. Claire McCaskill of Missouri said he hoped "we can find out where it comes from this and go after those responsible with all the force of law."

Peter King, New York, a supporter of Sinn Fein, the IRA's political arm, called on Hillary Clinton WikiLeaks is designated a "foreign terrorist organization" outlawed in the U.S..

  • @paula-c, thanks for the good link. Please keep them coming, I am interested in world reaction to leaks and not sure what our own news will report. This is unbelevable. Leaks are shocking, I just watched a leak of US casually killing Iranian civilians. It was too brutal to post. <!-- s:( -->:(<!-- s:( -->

Here is link where Omaba prefers to look East rather than West which substantiates earlier discussion on Asian rising.

The more we know, the better I think - even if we don't like it or what it implies. Whoever is leaking documents to Wikileaks wants the U.S. government exposed for what it really is - a bully trying to take over the entire school yard. I'm sure there are people in "high places" who don't want to see the world under one government and are doing what they can to stop it. I just hope they're doing it for the right reasons and not for their own selfish reasons. And the more of us who know, even better.

It makes me wonder if Michael knows these rebels in "high places" and if wikileaks has anything to do with Michael - meaning, that site is somehow helping Michael expose the lies of the world for when he comes back. It seems reasonable that if there is a common goal, there could be a partnership or understanding there. "I can't do it by myself".
  • Wikileaks was only created in December 2006 and the size of some of the leaks is just phenomenal!
The latest WikiLeaks leak shows our Worldwide governments for what they are... Inept, corrupted, greedy, "Don't care about us"... There is a lot of "WRONG" to put "RIGHT" in the WORLD today!
The leaked US embassy cables also reportedly include accounts of:

    - Iran attempting to adapt North Korean rockets for use as long-range missiles
    - Corruption within the Afghan government, with concerns heightened when a senior official was found to be carrying more than $50m in cash on a foreign trip
    - Bargaining to empty the Guantanamo Bay prison camp - including Slovenian diplomats being told to take in a freed prisoner if they wanted to secure a meeting with President Barack Obama
    - Germany being warned in 2007 not to enforce arrest warrants for US Central Intelligence Agency officers involved in an operation in which an innocent German citizen with the same name as a suspected militant was abducted and held in Afghanistan
    - US officials being instructed to spy on the UN's leadership by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
    - The very close relationship between Russian PM Vladimir Putin and his Italian counterpart Silvio Berlusconi
    - Alleged links between the Russian government and organised crime
    - Yemen's president talking to then US Mid-East commander General David Petraeus about attacks on Yemeni al-Qaeda bases and saying: "We'll continue saying the bombs are ours, not yours"
    - Faltering US attempts to prevent Syria from supplying arms to Hezbollah in Lebanon

I got this email at work - it was a mass email sent to everyone in the organization, which is nation wide. I starred out the name of where I work. I find it interesting that we were basically told not to go on wikileaks at home... <!-- s:? -->:?<!-- s:? --> We're not supposed to read the site, and we are certainly advised against educating ourselves on it by saying it's harmful to our computers.
    1. Wikileaks is a website that publishes submissions and leaks of
sensitive government, corporate, and military documents, otherwise
unavailable to the public. It attempts to preserve the anonymity and
    un-traceability of its sources.
    2. On November 28, 2010 Wikileaks released a vast cache of more
than 250,000 U.S. diplomatic cables in an embarrassing leak that
undermines U.S. diplomacy. Due to the high volume of documents that
Wikileaks intends to release in the coming months, the files are being
released in batches. The final number of files that will be released is
    not known at this time.
    3. This was the third major release of cables in 2010. In July,
Wikileaks released over 92,000 documents and in October, over 400,000
    additional documents were released.
    4. ****** computers are not to be used to visit the Wikileaks site
or any other websites containing such information. Such use constitutes
"unauthorized use" in accordance with reference A. The **************
********* centre (******) may monitor attempts to view this
site's material and will report attempts to the affected chains of
    command.
    5. Reasons for not accessing the site are as follows:
    1. The site attracts a large volume of traffic. Given the nature of
the material, third parties could collect and exploit visitor data or
deliver malicious software through downloaded files.
    2. Conducting web searches for this
information may expose the user's computer to malicious search engine
    poisoning attacks.
    c. Some information on Wikileaks remains classified and could constitute
a breach of security policy if viewed from, or downloaded to, ********
    computers.
    1. ******** personnel should also consider the similar contamination
risks posed by the Wikileaks site to their personal equipment, including
computers, smart phones or portable devises such as USB keys. As data
transfer from these devices could potentially introduce the Wikileaks
materials to ******* machines, electronic import of data to **** assets
from the Wikileaks site using personal equipment is not authorized.

Interpol issued an arrest warrant against the founder of Wikileaks

Washington, Nov 30 (EFE) .- Interpol has issued an international arrest warrant, a "Red Notice" against the founder of the website Wikileaks, Julian Assange, for alleged sex crimes, reported the police organization.

Interpol has posted information on its website, at which time the warrant for his capture Assange, 39, has been issued at the request of the International Office of Public Prosecutions in Gothenburg, Sweden, for alleged sexual offenses.

The order is a "red notice", the highest level of Interpol, which spreads to arrest or provisional arrest persons wanted internationally for extradition.

Just today, the defense of Assange, born in Townsville, Australia on July 3, 1971, moving with total secrecy and no one knows exactly where you are at this time, has called on appeal before the Swedish Supreme Court Order imprisonment imposed on the founder of Wikileaks.

This is the last legal recourse possible Assange lawyers.

Last Wednesday the Svea Court of Appeal in Stockholm, rejected his first appeal against the detention order, although it qualified the opinion of the Swedish court of first instance which rendered it.

Thus, the suspicion remained a crime of rape, but reduced it to the category of "petty offense" while one of the three complaints of sexual harassment found that the degree of suspicion was "not strong enough."

Assange, head of Internet portal has published secret diplomatic cables 250,000 U.S., is on trial for cases related to his brief stay in Sweden in August to give lectures on their work in front of Wikileaks.

Assange problems with the Swedish justice began on 20 August when a prosecutor on duty issued its first arrest warrant against him for alleged rape, a decision reversed 24 hours after the chief prosecutor, who declined the case a misdemeanor of harassment.

However, when the chief prosecutor, Marianne Ny, subsequently assumed the direction of research, decided to reopen the rape investigation that culminated last week with a new order of imprisonment against Assange. EFE

WikiLeaks founder should be killed: PM's ex-adviser
Last Updated: Wednesday, December 1, 2010 | 10:49 AM ET

A former senior adviser to Prime Minister Stephen Harper has joined some pundits and politicians in calling for the assassination of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

In a panel interview Monday night on CBC's Power & Politics with Evan Solomon, Tom Flanagan said U.S. President Barack Obama "should put out a contract and maybe use a drone or something.

"I think Assange should be assassinated, actually," Flanagan said with a laugh, and when asked to expand upon his answer, added that he "wouldn't be unhappy" if Assange "disappeared."

When the CBC's Solomon commented that his position was "pretty harsh stuff," Flanagan, who is known for his off-the-cuff sense of humour and often brings props to panel interviews, replied: "I'm feeling very manly today, Evan."

Although the University of Calgary professor described most of the information in the leaked U.S. cables as "harmless," he added the revelation that Arab diplomats requested the U.S. to attack Iran's nuclear facilities as secrets that "could conceivably lead to war."

"This is really not stuff that should be out," he said.

A number of U.S. and Canadian media figures have either suggested or demanded the 39-year-old former computer hacker be targeted for assassination or executed in the wake of the embarrassing scandal over the hundreds of thousands of secret diplomatic messages being published online. Amid the furor, Assange's whereabouts remain unknown.

Former U.S. Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who is widely expected to run for president in 2012, has called Assange an "anti-American operative with blood on his hands" and accused Obama of not doing enough to stop the WikiLeaks founder.

"Why was he not pursued with the same urgency we pursue al-Qaeda and Taliban leaders?" she said.

Canadian author and columnist Ezra Levant questioned why the Obama administration has treated the Australian-born Assange differently than the Taliban leaders targeted for assassination, saying he and his WikiLeaks colleagues "act like spies, not journalists."

"Why is Assange still alive?" Levant wrote in his column for QMI Agency earlier this week.

"Why is he being treated as a journalist or political activist? If someone had published the intimate details of the D-Day plans during the Second World War, he would never have been seen again."

Meanwhile, Interpol has placed Assange on its most-wanted list after Sweden issued an arrest warrant against him as part of a drawn-out rape investigation.

Assange, whose whereabouts are unknown, is suspected of rape, sexual molestation and unlawful coercion. He has denied the allegations, which stem from his encounters with two women during a visit to Sweden in August.

It's interesting to me that this is happening now... it would be the perfect time for EVERYONE to learn the truth about our government. The truth speaks for itself and would help Michael with his message without him having to say anything at all.

JEFF GATES : WIKILEAKS — THE TEL AVIV CONNECTION
Israeli psy-ops typically serve multiple purposes. Wikileaks is no exception.

    By Jeff Gates

What is Tel Aviv to do now that it’s known Israelis and pro-Israelis ‘fixed’ the intelligence that induced the U.S. to war in Iraq?

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Con me consistently for six decades and the relationship is over, as is Israel’s credibility as a legitimate nation state.

Tel Aviv knows this. But what can the Zionist state do about it?

    Answer: Wikileaks.

    Why now? Misdirection.

Shine the spotlight on Washington to take it off Tel Aviv. That’s good old-fashioned psy-ops. And challenge the credibility of the U.S. That’s Wikileaks.

Any credible forensics would start by asking: to whose benefit? Then look to means, motive and opportunity plus the presence of stable nation-state intelligence inside the U.S.

Other than Israel, who else is a credible candidate? Notice how quickly Israel’s role in the peace process vanished from the news. Now it’s Iran, Iran and more Iran. To whose benefit?

Tel Aviv knows that the phony intelligence on Iraq leads to those skilled at waging war “by way of deception”—the motto of the Israeli Mossad.

Wikileaks are noteworthy for what’s missing: the absence of any material damaging to Israeli goals.

But still Tel Aviv faces an unprecedented peril: transparency. Americans know they were duped. And Israel rightly fears that Americans will soon realize by whom.

    Tepid Support will not Suffice

Obama has behaved as anticipated by those who produced his presidency. Anyone surprised at the lack of change in U.S. policy in the Middle East fails to grasp the power of the Israel lobby.

Did he hesitate to support their latest Israeli strategy for scuttling peace negotiations? Absent peace, the U.S. will continue to be the target of those outraged at America’s unflinching support for Israel’s thuggish behavior in pursuit of its expansionist goals.

Confirming the lobby’s influence, Netanyahu announced he would not agree to halt settlements on Palestinian land until Obama reduced to writing a $3 billion bribe.

In return for a proposed 90-day freeze, what form of bribe will America provide? Twenty F-35 jets at $150 million each plus parts, maintenance, training and armaments.

That’s $231 million per week or $1,373,626 per hour. What will the U.S. receive in return? A temporary partial freeze on settlements. How many more times can this ruse work?

Israel has evaded a peace agreement since it drove Palestinians from their land in 1948 and seized more land in 1967 to shape today’s geopolitics.

Should Israel reach an agreement with the Palestinians, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton proposes a “comprehensive security agreement.” At what cost no one knows. The U.S. Congress has already budgeted $30 billion for Israel over 10 years. This latest $3 billion is on top of that.

That doesn’t include the cost to American credibility posed by an offer to veto U.N. recognition of Palestine as a state. And a pledge Never Again to pressure Israel on settlements. Plus the freeze omits East Jerusalem where Tel Aviv insists on moving ahead with new housing starts.

    Timing Is Everything

By scheduling its latest incursion into Gaza between Christmas 2008 and the January 2009 Obama inaugural, Tel Aviv ensured only muted opposition during political down time in the U.S. Thus it came as no surprise to see an agent provocateur operation on Thanksgiving Day 2010 as Israel demolished a West Bank Mosque and a Palestinian village.

After seven hours of nonstop talks, Hillary Clinton praised Netanyahu as a “peacemaker.” In return, he agreed only to “continue the process.” Meanwhile, U.S. elections marked a major victory for Israel when incoming Republican Majority Leader Eric Cantor, a Jewish Zionist, announced that the new majority would “serve as a check on the Obama administration.”

The Israel lobby has good reason to gloat. Confirming ongoing duplicity, Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman proclaimed: “a permanent agreement is impossible.”

Wikileaks’ release of confidential diplomatic cables provides Israel an opportunity to undermine U.S. relations worldwide while also inflicting lasting damage on U.S. interests in the Middle East. After this, what nation would trust the U.S. to maintain a confidence?

In October, Turkey asked that the U.S. not share intelligence with Israel. Now who dares share intelligence with the U.S.?

This may signal the beginning of the end for the Obama presidency his domestic policy failures are eclipsed by his failures in foreign policy.

This may also signal pre-staging for the 2012 presidential primary with a weakened Obama forced to name Clinton as his running mate or stepping aside so she can lead the ballot.

Her 2008 presidential campaign promised recognition of Israel as a “Jewish state” and promised an “undivided Jerusalem as the capital.” Tel Aviv was elated. A second Clinton presidency would ensure another victory for Israel—and no peace.

Israeli psy-ops typically serve multiple purposes. Wikileaks is no exception.
  • Correct me if I am wrong, but in the previous thread it was stated that it was under Obama Administration. When did Obama get elected as present. If my memory serve me correct that would be in the year um 2009. So how could it be the last 3 years under his administration. I think it was meant that the people that was in the administration prior to Obama being elected.

I value every one opinion, but it seems to me that everyone this that this big mess is going to be clean up in 4 years or less. Everyone wants things to be done and completed like yesterday. Everyone has an opinion on how thing should be done. But no one has come up with a plan to get a organized group together with these ideas and present them to people in Washington D.C. I think that they need to know exactly how we feel about how the country is being run. I think the average person has more insight than the people in Washington D.C. mainly because we live through it everyday.
  • Obama was elected in November 2008, so maybe the 3rd year referred to his campaign year?

It is interesting that CIA and Moussad are blamed for leaking US cables.

Interesting that Obama looks East instead of West.

Concurrent to Wiki Leaks, there are various world hotspots of nuclear threats, many countries facing financial disaster like USA, Greece, Ireland, Spain escaped by the skin of their teeth.

So much world chaos. Chaos cloaks sombeody's plan, so what is the real agenda?

We have global economic implosion as captalism dies and Asia rising. Wars have historically generated economies, so if Wiki Leaks as not a mistake; was it to help capitalism die, or was it to generate world friction to ignite a war to keep capitalism alive? Seems to me, Wiki Leaks was too unprecedented to be an 'oopsie'.

Obama was a paper dragon to BP oil, housing crisis, auto crisis, and not much better in Wiki Leaks. So I wonder if Obama is facilitating somebody's plan because he does not seem to have one of his own?
