Conrad Murray to Joe Jackson: You're Outta Here!

Dr. Conrad Murray's lawyer has filed a motion to dismiss Joe Jackson's wrongful death lawsuit against him ... TMZ has learned.

Murray's lawyer, Charles Peckham, claims Joe's attorney missed the statute of limitations and therefore the case -- centering on the death of Michael Jackson -- should be thrown out.

Peckham claims Joe's lawyer, Brian Oxman, filed the lawsuit 158 days after the 1-year deadline.

    Brian Oxman seems to be a sloppy lawyer.

    I was wondering when we'd hear about this again. Obviously Joe's not that keen on going through with this lawsuit if he can't be bothered to have it filed on time. <!-- s:? -->:?<!-- s:? --> And yes, this lawsuit should be thrown out, for reasons that are obvious to only us. <!-- s;) -->;)<!-- s;) -->

    I am not sure about Oxmans professionality when comes to legal battles.

    Joe seems as well to stir the pot with legal claims here and there which will not lead anywhere. Like if would be made on purpose.

    Well Mesereau fired him from the 2005 trial because he fell asleep in court.

    Joe forgets things and Brian Oxman is apparently a little incompetent lawyer <!-- s:roll: -->:roll:<!-- s:roll: --> <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->

    My impression of Oxman is not positive. He is media hungry. Loves the show, the camera, and the spot light too much.

    Messerau has all my respect. Thanks to his defense Michael was decleared innocent. Oxman would have put Michael on the death row.

    <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: --> This is really funny. Lawyer does not know terms of statute of limitation. <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->
    So, the Katherine's claim vs AEG is also passed statute of limitation. She submitted claim I guess in September of last year and scheduled for hearing in February. So, they were late too . Do their lawyers do that on purpose or what to be the subject of joke? <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->
  • I wonder why this even got this far? We talked about this when the suit was filed because we were already aware that the statute of limitations was past. So, months later, they are just now realizing this?

    Also, shouldn't the court have already thrown this out for the same reason?

    I wonder if this has more meaning because of the timing of the story.
