[size=12pt]MICHAEL JACKSON ESTATE<br />Something Stinks Over<br />the MJ Tribute Concert[/size]<br /><br />[size=8pt]41 MINUTES AGO BY TMZ STAFF[/size]<br /><br />0816-michael-jackson-bn-doc.jpg<br /><br />[size=10pt]The honchos in charge of the Michael Jackson Estate are threatening the people behind the Michael Jackson Tribute concert, claiming the promoters have sullied Michael's name and are possibly even ripping off the Estate.<br /><br />Howard Weitzman, lawyer for the Estate, fired off a letter to promoters of the concert -- set for October 8 in Wales -- expressing displeasure that one of the bands that will be performing is KISS, whose guitarist, Gene Simmons, publicly accused MJ of being a hard-core child molester.  Weitzman wrote in his letter, "It was extraordinarily embarrassing when no sooner than you announced this 'news' that he would participate in your concert that TMZ posted an item noting that Mr. Simmons called Michael Jackson -- the man you are purportedly honoring -- a child molester..."<br /><br />Weitzman also questions where all the proceeds for the concert will be going.  We're told Joe Jackson and Leonard Rowe are behind the concert, and they've always been quick to cash in on MJ's name.<br /><br />And Weitzman suggests promoters may be running afoul of the law by using "intellectual property that is controlled by the Estate" -- which includes MJ images and his songs.<br />[/size]<br /><br />Reference: http://www.tmz.com/2011/08/16/michael-jackson-estate-tribute-concert-letter-howard-weitzman-promoters-wales-kiss-gene-simmons-called-child-molester/

    <br /> <br />I agree, he doesn't want these allegations forgotten.  Sweeping them under the rug will not help as there are those who have lingering doubt about his innocence, or just straight out think he's a monster.  Michael is not afraid to bring the allegations up again because he knows he's innocent and he knows he was wronged and wants everyone else to realize that as well.  Suddenly KISS joining the tribute lineup makes more sense...<br /> <br />I just had another thought although it's probably unrelated...<br /> <br />Isn't there an impersonator named Michael Kiss who calls himself the #1 Michael Jackson tribute performer or something like that?

    <br /> <br />we've seen this many times, pointing out to certain family members who are quick to cash on Michael's name. Watching from outside, this is exactly how it looks like. If you dig deeper you find yourself asking if that is really possible. I myself can't see the world (Jackson family included) through innocent pink glasses, because the truth is that the world is not as good as many people believe it to be, and mafia exists in everything. I'm on the fence about this whole thing, because the way it is put out -Mrs. Jackson and the members of the family supporting this-look like money grabbers who don't give a goddamn dime on Michael and his honour and justice. Mrs. Jackson's statement "but it's been 2 years and I think it's the right time" supports the same opinion: she looks like she doesn't even care about wether justice is being served or not; like "it's been two years, we're bored, who cares anymore what happens at the trial, now the concerts and albums and books are important".  This is how it looks from outside. What is inside I can't be sure of.

    So the family plans a tribute, they call KISS to attend, TMZ brokes the story that Simmons Called Michael a chi9ld molester, The Estate reads TMZ and sends a document to Global Live Events.<br /><br />Looks like staged to me because they play in circle.<br />

    <br /><br />Thank you, Grace. I've thought this for a long, long time as well. It's always nice to see others write the same thoughts. I believe this is not just about the allegations but all of the other horrible lies that people have bought into like drugs, sexual preference, money, etc.<br /><br />The allegations continue to be drug up just when they start to die down. We know that just because it's not spoken doesn't mean it's not thought about or believed. Yes, Michael is pushing forward on his mission to clear his name once and for all. God speed to him.<br /><br />So, the children plan on being at Cardiff - I wonder if the plan is for them to spend time with this Gene Simmons? Any amount of time with them should put his allegations to rest. But, we'll see what happens.<br /><br />Still Watchin'...<br /><br />Blessings

    Do we have CONCRETE proof of Gene Simmons actually saying 'Michael Jackson is a child molestor'? Is there footage of these words coming from his own mouth? And why would a band like KISS be at a MJ Tribute Conert? This is completely random and notat all MJ's style throughout his entire life. Slash and Eddie Van Halen, yes. But KISS? The guys that wear clown make up and play awful (IMO) music. Doesn't sound right!! <br />But believing what I believe, it doesn't seem that crazy. Just pure, unpredictable entertainment. The man is proving his genius even while he's 'dead'.  :lol:

    <br /><br />I was able to find a Gene Simmons interview, by a Toronto radio station, in which Gene Simmons speaks to his beliefs about Michael. The interview is conducted sometime after June 25, 2009.<br /><br />
    <br /><br />Gene Simmons is very well-spoken AND he speaks with conviction.  He has made his feelings about Michael VERY clear to the public. So, one has to ask the question, WHY would this man be invited to pay tribute to another man whom he clearly does not not like or support?. And, WHY would he have EVER accepted that invitation? I’m on the lookout for a statement from Gene Simmons on this one! He must have had a complete change of heart!     I don't believe in a change of heart from Simmons. Once you think this way and throw so much garbage at someone, you can't just turn around at 180 degrees and go and "honour" that said someone. <br /><br />This whole garbage either was done being completely unaware of what Simmons said (it's not the first time the family seems to have no clue about Michael's friends and foes- like with the Oprah appearance), either for money (the promoters proposed, the family accepted for a lot of money), they played with dice or what? Just to choose someone, who cares. OR this was done on purpose to create again anger within the community. It's like they would invite Sneddon and Mottola to hold a speech and "honour" Michael. Purely impossible to understand. <br /><br />And the constant war between the family members succeeds in nothing but creating war against the community too. I went for suriosity on MJJC and I've read 3 pages in the tribute thread and people are furious. The issues raised there were almost the same from all the people, unanimously:<br /><br />- The Jacksons have no idea how to do good bussiness, in total contrast to Michael;<br />- The Jacksons' interest all the time is making money, no matter how;<br />- They destroy what Michael created, people are angry, revolted;<br />- The prices are ridiculously high- which again makes them look like money-grabbers;<br />- After all the scandal and garbage, they wonder wether the artists invited won't withdraw from the list (as they wouldn't probably like to be involved in such scandal and illfated event, thinking "what the hell did we get into?")<br />- They show no proffesionalism in nothing that has been going with this tribute since day 1<br /><br />These are the main ideas brought up on MJJC as far as I reached to read

    MJJC is in deep doo-doo methinks...<br /><br />They are getting played hard core and I think they were clearly warned. I'm not sure Michael expected this but now that it has reared it's ugly head (the sting operation), he's really pouring it on. I bet they failed the test on 11/5 over the "fake" lyrics (they bashed Katherine for saying they were fake... and then all turned right around when the album came out and screamed they're fake...), so now they get to deal with, among other things, Gene Simmons invited to perform. I think it's designed specifically to upset them. I say good for you, Michael. They have no idea what they're doing. They're so blinded by their own tears they can't see what's right in front of them. They need a big, fat, wake up call and he's going to give it to them. With love. He's doing it because he loves them and they really need it. It's all for love. <br /><br />I think that's the sting  :mrgreen:

    I was just watching A&E, where Gene Simmons 'Family Jewels' airs. And they showed the teaser for the new season in October. They show an ambulance and then they show Gene in a hospital looking lifeless or in a coma. WTF?!?!?! Tribute=October. Gene Simmons in an AMBULANCE!=October<br />And I can't find ANY new articles that say Gene was in fact rushed to any hospital and in any serious danger.
