Check out this clip from Jimmy Kimmel. There is some guy named Jake Byrd who hangs out at Celebrity trials. He was there, acting really crazy. He even pretended to drink "propofol" to keep him asleep from Friday until Monday so he was ready for the verdict. Crazy.<br /><br /><br />

    do you think this guys is legitimate or that he is skit / sketch as part of the show? maybe initially he was legitimate but then approached by the show to do a comedy gig / routine at the trial. it seemed very staged.<br /><br />comments?

    I don't know if it was staged or not, though the reporters that he was bugging seemed annoyed. It's just totally ridiculous.

The Herald illustrated the story with a picture of fans outside the Los Angeles courtroom reacting to the verdict, including one prominent screaming man. Problem is, the guy is not a real fan, but rather Jake Byrd, a comedian often shown on Jimmy Kimmel Live trolling celebrity trials.<br /><br />The whoopsie was first picked up over at Random Pixels before making its way to Copydesk.com, where Charles Apple points out that at least nine other papers put pictures of Byrd on the front page. Including, obviously, El Nuevo Herald.<br /><br /><br />

    OMG Andrea, I met that guy, @1:12 this year at Murray's prelim (he was interviewing the lawyers that came out of the courtroom like Flann) and that time he looked 'normal' now he just looks like Antoine Dodson...anyway he told me he was and impersonator and friend of MJ, he was also at the 2005 trial.

I would never have been able to keep a straight face as a journalist if someone did those things to me. Props to them, really.<br /><br />/bravo/ yes, staged 100%.<br /><br />On to a question: is it normal for the court clerk to announce the verdict? I thought it was something that the head jurist usually did. As I'm not used to being in a court can someone answer this for me?<br /><br />Blessings<br /><br />

    This guy is great! I think he is just what Michael would want to hire for comic relief in this epic drama of all dramas.<br />Applehead, do you know of any other videos with him in it besides these two?  Seems like he can say anything and get away with it?<br />I don't think the fans around him know what to make of him, they look a little confused which makes it even funnier!<br /> lolol/
