News from The Associated Press<br /><br />Jun 4, 5:39 PM EDT<br /><br />Janet Jackson to produce transgender documentary<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Latest Movie News<br />Janet Jackson to produce transgender documentary<br /><br />LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Janet Jackson has signed on as an executive producer of a documentary on the lives of transgender people living around the world.<br /><br />New York-based Brainchild Films announced Monday that Jackson was working on "Truth" and would do some of the on-camera interviews. The documentary begins production this summer and will focus on the lives and struggles of transgender persons.<br /><br />Jackson writes in a statement that she is working on the project to try to stop discrimination of the transgender community.<br /><br />The 46-year-old sister of Michael Jackson has starred in several films and won five Grammy Awards.<br /><br />"Truth" will be directed by Robert Jason, who previously directed a documentary for The Style Network on four transgender New Yorkers. He says "Truth" will feature stories from throughout North America, Europe, Australia and Latin America.

For those interested, youtube is full of diaries of those who changed sex, diaries that took over 3 years. VERY interesting. <br /><br />I used to watch their updates for both, women and men, who went trough therapy and finally the operation. the videos are loaded since 2007. It is a lot of information out there.

It was one of the most entertaining and educational phases of my work history when a transgender girl worked with me for 12 months. I asked all and any questions, she held nothing back, what surgery was like, the recovery time. We had a blast. She was smart and witty to the extreme. A ton of fun.  Pre-surgery, she  used to do drag. Some of the male workers were less than civil to her, and one had to be put off because of his hatred and threats. It was very intimidating to witness this type of thing up close and personal. It is no easy road they walk that is for sure. <br />The original article says they will be interviewing some from Australia. I reckon that will be Carlotta for sure. Tho my friend would be a great candidate also.
