Tupac hologram team to resurrect Elvis - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)<br /><br />[size=12pt]Tupac hologram team to resurrect Elvis[/size]<br />Updated June 07, 2012 11:50:34<br /><br />Elvis Presley is to be virtually resurrected by the special effects team behind the Tupac Shakur hologram which featured at a US music festival earlier this year.<br /><br />Presley, who died in 1977 at the age of 42, will be brought back in a virtual performance, the Digital Domain Media Group said.<br /><br />The company stunned nearly 90,000 fans with a life-like performing Tupac hologram at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April.<br /><br />Digital Domain said it was planning multiple virtual Elvis likenesses across various platforms, including live shows, TV and online, and are working in partnership with Elvis Presley Enterprises, which manages the late singer's brand.<br /><br />"This is a new and exciting way to bring the magic and music of Elvis Presley to life," the company said.<br /><br />The digital production company has specialised in creating realistic computer-generated humans, and its work has appeared in movies such as The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, TRON: Legacy and X-Men: First Class.<br /><br />Reuters
