Statement from John Branca Co-Executor of The Estate Of Michael Jackson regarding Mijac announcement, via MJJCommunity (@MJJCommunity):

I understand that you are being asked a lot of questions about Mijac.

"Yes, there is a matching right that Michael granted to Sony/ATV but they only get to administer the catalog for a limited term AND only if they agree to unprecedented favorable terms. We will not relinquish ultimate control and ownership to anyone. We have favorably refinanced the loans on Mijac which will be paid off and the catalog WILL absolutely be passed to Michael's children as long as we have anything to say about it.

Sony/ATV is a great company and the Estate owns half of it but no one, not even Sony/ATV, will ever own Mijac while John McClain and I remain in charge.

The current Sony team is the one Michael chose to work with on the Thriller 25 release and they are good partners. As stated in the recent court filings, they worked with us to refinance the burdensome debt that had been placed on Michael's interest in Sony/ATV to very favorable terms, an important achievement which insures that Mijac and Michael’s masters remain secure for the benefit of Michael's children for years to come.

I would appreciate your sharing this with the fans that are asking questions."

Thanks – John

John Branca
Co-Executor
The Estate Of Michael Jackson
Los Angeles, CA
http://www.twitlonger.com/show/ium98g

Well they only administer the catalog. The Estate clearly states that the catalog will not be owned by anyone else and that it will be passed on to his children.

Thanks for posting this Mary. It begs the question (yet again) - are McClain and Branca good or bad guys? Can we believe Branca's statement? Are they genuinely doing what's best in the long term for MJ's kids, or are they being given enough rope to hang themselves, or are they (knowingly?) carrying out MJ's plan, following the 'script'?

Another question I had while reading this was: are contracts, deals etc made when someone is dead, still valid if it's later discovered that they are in fact alive? I'd like to look into the legality of this scenario.

For me, I'm thinking that if MJ really was the hatman at the X-factor performance featuring MJ music, then they have to be good guys. Branca was sitting right beside this hatman sitting behind Katherine and the kids (He's also seen behind the kids at the hand-print MJ event--bottom pic).

xfactorhat.jpg

This is some shitty scary piece of news! :errrr:
I mean I am like really scared... after a long period of time!!!
I mean that catalogue has always been the source of all evil against Michael, he complained publicly and to so many people and friends of receiving death threats because of that catalogue.
If this "handing over" of the catalogue to the Sony ATV is really part of the hoax for Michael to see who is behind those death threats, than Michael if you're reading this, just know I am really scared right now!!! :icon_pale:
I think everything major that happens with that catalogue is solid proof about Michael being dead or alive!

I think we must wait...how many ads we've seen in the last three years that have had no foundation.... :icon_e_confused:....keeph the faith !! :icon_razz:
I don´t understand why anyone would feel afraid now.

This deal does not mean Sony/ATV owns the Catalog- They are only administrating the publishing rights. The MJ Estate still owns Mijac Catalog.

Before another company administrated the publishing rights.

So basically I think this is not giving away the catalog but rather bringing it even closer to home, since Michael (the Estate) is co-proprietor of Sony/ATV.
  • OK im starting to worry now to the point i have a very icy feeling in the pit of my stomach ... if this is true .. and you as well as i know how much bulls**t the media pulls then i need some straight talking to .... cos im starting to get ideas that i dont like ... What if Michael is dead, what if he was actually murdered? what if all the clues were actual mistakes we picked up where they didnt do such a brilliant cover up? what if we have let those with blood on their hands get away with murder for the last three years? I agree this is actually quite scary news .... I dont trust Branca & Co .. I never have ... dont know why cos i cant put my finger on why ... but this has actually got me quite worried .... I need some sense talked into me before i loose hope :screaming-7365:

I don´t feel uncomfortable with this deal.
Really, I don´t.
As I said in my last post: they are NOT giving away/selling the catalog.

When there's so much money involved, when that catalogue is so valuable that people were willing for so many years to conspire against Michael... to the point where he received so many death threats, that he even started speaking about them to people...

When you take all this^^ into account , it really doesn't matter if "they" buy/sell that catalogue or not! Simply the fact that "they" get to lay their filthy hands on it, by "administering" it, makes me tremble with fear mixed with disgust !! "they" can do so many illegal things in order to get money and other illicit profits out of it, "they" don't even need to own it!

That's why I don't like this new "deal", I don't like it at all ! I have a bad feeling about this!! What in the world were they thinking?? Couldn't they have chosen someone else to administer that catalogue?? Why Sony!???

I hope it's all part of the hoax! it's gotta be!!

I still don´t understand it Sim.

50 % of "they" is owned by Michael.

Before the deal another company was involved who isn´t owned by him.

Yes of course it is. The catalog is even more valuable now IMO, since it has "come home" now to Michael´s own company.

Before it was administrated by Warner Chappel.
How can we know that^^ with 100% certainty?

Michael said he owned half of Sony back in that 2001 - Sony speech.
But what about today? 11 years later?
Can we still be 100% sure that he still owns half of Sony ATV and that this "deal" is 100% Michael's plan?

IDK...

All I know is that I HOPE it is that way... and at the same time I have my bad feelings about this "deal".

So you think the above message of Branca in which he says that they own half of Sony ATV is possibly a lie?
I don't know what is a LIE and what isn't!

I’m just saying that I have a bad feeling.... that maybe...just maybe Michael can’t be 100% in control of everything , traitors will always lurk around him and betray his interest when he needs them most, like for ex. NOW: when he’s supposed to be dead and he can’t take legal actions to protect that catalogue as he could have when he was officially alive!
I get your point and I respect your point of view. It all depends on that, right?
As for me personally I (for the moment) stick to the believe that Estate=MJ and they are executing his plans.

Branca & Co are already managing. If they are good or bad, do not know, but they did a good job. My question is whether they are inside or outside the hoax. It's not my time yet to really wonder if MJ died.
  • LOL, feels like a kind of warning of sorts to the people who feel the administration of the estate should be changed, the challengers. They clearly state that the catalogues will stay with MiJack “as long as Branca & MClain” are the executors. :LolLolLolLol: Leaves it open as to the possible consequences of what could happen shold their managemnt be over turned. In other words, this one’s for the signer’s of the letter.

The debts have been paid, that would be a reason for that the catalog will go to other hands, and in regard to death threats because of that catalog there is no reason why MJ is officially dead, and that you know there are no threats against the Mrs Katherine or children.

May be that Michael took this decision because the catalog has always given him many problems and in his new life he does not want more for himself and for his childrens.... :icon_razz: :moonwalk_:
Blankie they did not sell the catalog they only gave the publishing/administrative part to Sony/ATV (and Michael owns 50 % of that).
So basically Sony/ATV does the publishing work, Estate (Michael) owns the catalog.
