I came across this article and was thinking if Katherine has really applied for S.S. benefits for her and the kids. If this is true, and MJ is alive then, this is fraud. Does anyone know if this is true? By the way, this is an old article, I wonder why not one report on this. I haven't heard anything about it. Hmm

The info is on the last paragraph.

  • I've read quite a few articles stating that SS benefits have been applied for, but there is no way to confirm that and/or know it for sure. That's really not going to be public information, so even if they are receiving it, we don't know it for sure.
  • This is why I asked, because if I ever learn that they are receiving it, I'm done with this hoax idea. Yes, its not public information, yet there have been reports on how much Joe receives from SS. When I read this story, I thought there would be reporters following it. We will never know, I suppose.

Social Security benefits were talked about at the beginning when all the court proceedings started. It is on the court papers. Where it went from there, I don't know.

I don't think anything was done about the SS benefits.I think an application was placed, but I know think any benefits were given. I think the application was placed to look good. MJ knows this would be fraud when he returns.
  • Sorry, what is "Social Security Benefits"?

    Thanks mjthelegendlives
  • If in the future the children do start to get SS benefits for real (the mail carrier would eventually know), then I would say that there was no hoax and MJ is really gone, because I seriously doubt the Jackson's would do anything to create authentic fraud, ya know ? I know people who get SS because they tell me, are not afraid to tell others they get it.
MJ supposedly was in serious debt but we never heard the word 'tax evasion'. Can you imagine how large the 'aid to dependent children' check would be ???

This is just another thing for us to keep our ears open about.
  • Just some info on the Social Security Administration Dept in the US.
When someone dies, he/she is entitled to a one lump sum death benefit in the amount of $255.00. Big whoop...can't even buy flowers with that amount.
If the deceased has children under the age of 18, they are entitled to receive benefits up to the age of 18 or until they graduate high school (which ever comes first).
The amount received is based on the deceased income earnings, or how much he/she has paid into social security their whole life.
Katherine already receives Social Security benefits for herself.
The benefits paid to the children are not sent via check by mail, but by automatic deposit to a bank on a monthly basis.

If the app was filed, they are getting benefits.
