  • Oooh... I'll have to watch it tomorrow night. I have a tickets to the CU vs. Duke basketball game tonight.

    So... this is a "making of" a "making of" the O2 concerts? And we're supposed to believe that the footage was not meant originally for public viewing. <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) -->

    This is what it said. All Access: Making Michael Jackson's This Is It goes behind the scenes and looks at the making of the greatest concert that never happened, complete with interviews from the directors, musicians and dancers who worked with MJ, and exlusive rehearsal footage from Sony motion picture.

    It will air at 12:30am EST and 1:30pm EST on Jan. 24. Maybe you can see it at 12:30am or 1:30pm tomorrow. They are probably airing it, since the movie will be released in three days. I am excited to see it. Which team do want to win between CU and Duke?
  • Count me in! I'll definitely watch it!

    About the basketball game... It's Clemson for me! I graduated from Clemson and I only live about a mile from campus. If you see the game tonight (begins at 9pm but ESPN GameDay is there and coverage begins at 7pm, I think), look for me! I'll be the one in orange moonwalking across the court-- just kidding! Who would you like to win?
  • I hope you guys watch it, it'll be exciting. my family is going to wacth it, too. <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->

    I really like both teams. But I hope that Clemons wins. I will keep an eye out for you. It will kill some time until program airs. Good Luck Clemons!

    Don't think it is on in the UK. But why do they show a programme of the making of tii as they have told us it was the rehearsal of this is it. So it wasn't a making of a film if you get what I mean it sort of the making of the making off. ?? But I would like to see it do you know if it is on in the UK
  • how long is it?
  • I wish I could see it, I think we have the uk VH1 but what time will it be on then?
  • I watched this and it was pretty good. It showed even more of the special effects, the short films, etc. Interestingly, it also showed the post-credits "Bam" clip. I had to chuckle when I saw that! <!-- s;) -->;)<!-- s;) -->
  • I really liked it also the only thing that bothered me was Oranthi talking about MJ's passing. But something Randy Phillips said did not make sense, he said after the rehersals on 06/24 they were ready to pack up all the set so they could get it sent over on the boats and then they would start dress rehersals in the O2, but they said around the time MJ passed they were getting ready to practice on 06/25 at the Staples, so which was it were they packing it up or still rehearsing. This confused me

    Did anybody else catch the part where Kenny O says, "At one point in this ***MOVIE*** Michael was...."

    "Movie???" <!-- s:| -->:|<!-- s:| -->

    I was so distracted by him saying ,"movie" that I forgot what he was talking about. <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: -->
  • Can we watch it on line?
    If so, can someone write the direct link here?
    I looked on VH1.com but couldn't find the video...(>_<)
    Thanks.
  • It was great to watch...too bad it was only 1/2 hour long. They actually showed the after credit BAM part 2 times, one the whole thing and one part of it. They all kept talking about how this was going to be the greatest show and concert ever done. <!-- s:( -->:(<!-- s:( -->

    Yes, Randy said that everything was going to be shipped on boats to the UK and they were going to start their dress rehersals when they got there. How long does it take for a boat to get from the US to the UK? Seems kinda tight on time. <!-- s:? -->:?<!-- s:? -->
  • did you all also catch the commericals for TII that they are offering a two disc collection at Walmart only that will have an extra 140 minutes of footage? I already ordered my blueray so am I now going to have to get a copy from Walmart to have over 2 hours more worth of material, it would have been nice if I had heard of this in advance

    Yes, but if you HAD heard of it in advance you'd only buy **1** copy and not **2** like they want you to. <!-- s;) -->;)<!-- s;) -->
  • I watched it also it was just beautiful somebody just tell me that that man is not rellay dead please.
  • What's interesting about the BAM clip was that Michael as the smooth criminal returned (like magic) when he said BAM! <!-- s:mrgreen: -->:mrgreen:<!-- s:mrgreen: --> <!-- s:mrgreen: -->:mrgreen:<!-- s:mrgreen: -->

    You're right about the boat. I don't think there was enough time to get everything over their by boat, get it all assembled and still have to go through dress rehearsals. And remember "lightman" wasn't even finished yet. Did you all see the interview that Judith Hill did where she said she found out Michael had passed when she got to rehearsals. When asked "how she found out" she said "when I got to rehearsals, they told me lightman was on." The interviewer asked "so someone told you that if lightman was on that would mean Michael would be gone?" And she said YES! <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: --> <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: --> <!-- s:lol: -->:lol:<!-- s:lol: --> <!-- s:mrgreen: -->:mrgreen:<!-- s:mrgreen: -->

    Then in another interview she said she got a call from her dad at lunch time and she went home and saw it on the news. NO ONE CAN GET THEIR STORY STRAIGHT! HOAX, HOAX, HOAX, HOAX, HOAX! <!-- s:mrgreen: -->:mrgreen:<!-- s:mrgreen: -->

    I caught that, too, but based on the context, Kenny seemed to be referring to the Smooth Criminal short film.
  • I've watched it, it was heartbreaking <!-- s:( -->:(<!-- s:( --> Please, tell me, what we're doing here is right, he's alive and it's just a matter of time, before he'd let us know, he's alright... Please <!-- s:cry: -->:cry:<!-- s:cry: --> <!-- s:cry: -->:cry:<!-- s:cry: --> <!-- s:cry: -->:cry:<!-- s:cry: -->

    I notice while watching the making of This is it that Kenny Ortega mentioned at least twice about the fact that MJ trust him. Why he feel the need to bring up the fact that MJ trusts him? <!-- s:?: -->:?:<!-- s:?: --> Another weird thing someone said was about shipping the props by boat. Wouldn't it make more sense and be easier to ship the props for the show by airplane? <!-- s:? -->:?<!-- s:? -->
  • I missed it, I wish I could have seen it though but I went to sleep late. I hope it will be online on Youtube soon!

    YES! That's what I was thinking also. I figure it could have taken about 2 weeks?

    To me, everything seemed a bit crunched for time. Like "Lightman". Shouldn't things like that be prepared well ahead of time?

    Another thing that gets me is , they said that rehearsals took place over a 3 month time.
    Wouldn't they have to break down and put up the stage in Staples everytime there was an event there in between?

    Hey Virgo. Thanks for confirming what I heard. I watched the Making of TII and Kenny Ortega said, "In the movie, I asked Michael.....". The MOVIE? I thought it was a concert rehearsal! Oops Kenny <!-- s:o -->:o<!-- s:o --> I, too, missed the end of his sentence because I was freakin' out after hearing the word 'movie'.

    Kenny also said that "We didn't do this with big cameras or booms. We did it with LOVE".

    Did what? THE MOVIE!!!????
