I keep seeing posts that state TMZ was the first with the news of MJ's "death".
While they were the FIRST to report he had passed away, they were not the first
to report that Michael had been rushed to the hospital, ect.
I think they just playing around for hits and reactions.

x17online was the FIRST to report the news of Michael Jackson being in distress..if
you want to find out why a tabloid had the information FIRST, I would start with them.
Will look up the link for you...sorry, just don't have time to post everything.

I didn't know this, thanks for the post.
please get back to us soon,
it seems we have more research to be doing now.
  • This blog site shows a timeline for the 25th of how the news broke on the Internet. It does say that x17Online was the first site to report news about MJ after 911 was called. That was at 20:10 (1:10 in California). And then they state TMZ was the first to report the "death" at 21:20.

Thanks for posting that, I was trying to get back with everyone.

20:10 - (Story Breaks) A small entertainment site called x17online.com breaks the story.

They post photos and a brief story a full 20 minutes before the much larger entertainment site TMZ.com posts the news. Information goes live on the internet. BOOM!
