I finally found this video. This is for anyone who didn't see it yet. I think this is from 1999 press conference. (Thanks to keyboardwizz for the info)

thank you for the post. "We never know?" Ok, we will wait to know the end.
  • this is the very video that led me to really believe that michael had faked his death. the part that made me think was when prince said " u know ultimately everyone has to come back home let just make a home for everybody". also check out minister louis farrakhans the crucifixion of michael jackson at the very end he says " keep looking, keep watching cause the crucifixion is about to happen for the very last time"

That was a shot at MJ basically saying he's on a high horse and will eventually come down. He thinks he high and mighty but he will be knocked down a notch or two one day. Prince was being an ass!

I´ve seen this clip before - since then I also tend to believe in Prince prophetic skills. <!-- s;) -->;)<!-- s;) -->
    Thank you for posting! <!-- s8-) -->8-)<!-- s8-) -->
  • difference of opinion i guess i thought he was being sincere because the jokes came in the beginning when he said he would plant him and after his joke he said on a serious note. but anyways who knows only prince i guess <!-- s:D -->:D<!-- s:D -->

Well I dont think so... there are connections between Prince and Michael - Dick Gregory for one...
  • I don't believe the "vendetta" between Mike and Prince which the media shoved down our throats. I wouldn't be surprised if the two of them had long and deep conversations. Spend some time on reading Prince's lyrics, and the rare interviews he did. Prince KNOWS shit...you'll be amazed.

The reporter made a joke. Prince just laughed & said he would win. He said Michael's not a fighter, which he probably isn't, that's not a bad thing. But then Prince goes on to say what he says about Michael but he's not laughing, his face looks serious like he's being sincere. But who knows I guess. <!-- s:roll: --><!-- s:roll: -->
  • The vid is from 1999 a press conference anouncing his upcoming New Years gig (the new millenium)
This really gives me shivers everytime I see it.
Mo is right, prince knows his shit , and their rivalry was a media thing.....

There are lot s of parales in their lives:

    - in 1984 they where the first black musicians promoted by MTV

-in 1991 they both signed a $100 million dollar contract with their labels making them members of the board (Prince with
    Warner, Michael with Sony)

-1993 they had their Egyptian phase ( 3 chains o gold / Remember the time)

    - Had Frank Dileo as a manager

    - they both where Jehova witnesses

    - They share the love of making movies

    - Prince worked with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, whom later produced for Janet

    - Both famous for acting "weird"

    - Shared the stage with James Brown

    - they both recorded "Come together"

-they both got a song called "7"

-Prince actualy gave Michael the advise to lose the smoke and mirrors while they met in Vegas

    - Prince "faked" his death in 1993 by changing his name to 0(+->

Someday I wil make a blog or vid about this.......

Enough things that make you go uhm........

I think this video of Prince is cute. I like him showing his sense of humor. I don't think he was trying to bash MJ in any way. He kinda just makes a little joke to the guy and says Michael is a plant and I planted him but then he's like naw lets keep it light. Then he says we should chill and wait and see and make a home for everybody. Everybody comes back home. I think Prince was saying this because MJ had become like an outsider to the music industry and he was saying lets wait and see what Mike is going to do because you never know. Prince know how talented MJ was and that he was capable of getting back into the game when he was ready. That's why I think he said we need to make a home for everybody. I like when he said MJ is a lover not a fighter. I think he and MJ always had rivalry and competition between them but I think it was friendly and they respected each other.
  • my personal reason for believing that prince was referring to michael and the hoax is because prince has always and i do mean always talked years and years ahead of his time. again its just my opinion but i believe that prince can actually see future events. prince is also a legend in his own right. and i dont believe that there was rivalry between him and michael just media lies.

I am not sure if he is psychic or he's just aware of plans way before they are implemented due to the people that he may know. For instance, he referenced 9/11 in a concert that was before 2001. There's audio out there somewhere. However, you never know. He could see future events. He seems to be a person who is very aware and awakened so I wouldn't put pass him. And I,too, think they had a friendly rivalry and they may have possibly worked together on this project that we are exploring now. Like he said...you never know...
  • When he said MJ a lover and not a fighter, and the crowd laughed (cuz of the molestation charges) u can see Prince's face get serious like "I didn't mean it like that"...and that;s when he got serious and tried to defend MJ by saying "Yall need to lay off him, cuz I know what u was thinkin". Prince seems concerned about MJ's image, but he prolly felt that MJ was in a sense lost and in need of help when he said "all of us gotta come back home...." I know MJ wanted to work with Prince on several occasions, the song Bad being one of them....Also MJ's song "Superfly Sister" has a Prince-like quality, showing his influence....both respected and were highly influenced by James Brown....

  • I don't believe there was any bad feelings between MJ & Prince. I agree they respected each other as talented musicians and entertainers. I think it was friendly rivalry and the media took it a step further as they always do! They do it all the time, same with Britney & Christina, JLO and Beyonce and lots more... The media manipulate and lie.

Thank you very much! I watched the Interview with Raffles a few weeks ago and although I don't know what to think about Farrakhan (he talked a lot of weird stuff in the past, but I heard he changed a little bit after he had a near death experience a few years ago) I appreciated how he talked about Michael and his spirituality!
I will watch the other link, havent seen that before - thank you. <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) -->

You have misquoted Prince. He did not say "personally know" he said "that none of us really know". He's telling everyone to lay off Michael.

Prince was referring to the lyrics from the song Michael did with Paul. I think the crowd knew that.
  • Prince is still a Jehovah's witness (he wasn't when Michael was, although Michael probably still believe in a Jehovah God). This press conference took place 10 years ago, what could he actually have known about Michael except from the fact that he was a victim of the media and record labels? Which is easily explained since Prince experienced that himself and so have many other artists. Prince, however, took the matter in his own hands (change of name, "slave" on his cheek etc.)
  • Maybe it´s just a coincidence, but Prince´s birthday is on july 7th. <!-- s:? -->:?<!-- s:? -->
