Lady GaGa's Edge of Glory

I think, as some others do, that Lady GaGa has something to do with the hoax. So I found it interesting that the countdown to the release of Born This Way coincided with the countdown on Michaeljacksonfakeddeath.com. This made me speculate as to the possibility that the album might contain clues or connections.
Don't know, but this song struck me as something I might write in anticipation of an MJ return. Besides, it's pretty catchy.
Here's the song.

And here are the lyrics.

You took the words out of my mouth!! I am so tired of seeing her everywhere...I am not shocked by her.
Kylie Minogue (who I love dearly) was doing this stuff in 2002...If you watch Kylie in concert from that
time period its all the same kind of costumes...I am so over Gaga. Sorry fans of Gaga...I just don't
get it. Also, the music sounds dated to me, very nineties.
As far as her being part of the hoax, you could be right! It seems like someone of her stature in the music
business would know about the hoax and maybe even participate. <!-- sgeek/ -->geek/<!-- sgeek/ -->
Kylie, Cher, Cyndi, Madonna, Chaka Khan. I could go on....
Gaga seems more like Madonna, does and says things for shock value, but never really shows any raw amazing talent. I don't get a lot of the newer artists. they are cardboard cut outs of past generations, just with a lot more auto tune.
God, I miss Michael :,( If i had a Time machine, I'd go back to 1977 and break the 'future' button. lol
I think she has nothing to do with MJ. She may have some knowledge about what's going because MJ started to work with Akon right around time she got signed by Akon. So there's some connection, but I think it stops there. If you even want to consider that a connection.
I personally think she's a great entertainer. I've seen her live in person, and her music is really good. I don't think there's anything dumb about her. You don't get as far as she has being a complete idiot. She's jus out there, so what?
The Madonna comparisons are crutch to down her, which I don't understand Madonna is smart and wildly successful. I don't see how being compared to an icon is bad. She's not a Madonna wannabe, I think GaGa is original in her own way. What's wrong wit showing respect to those who influenced you. When MJ dances like James Brown, he's showing respect, but when GaGa does something Madonna-esq its copying?
As great as she is, imo, I do think the illuminati symbolism is undeniable. She maybe be an illuminati puppet, she may not be. But she an incredible talent. And just like so many great entertainers, she know how to keep her name out there and stay relevant.
Just my opinion.
Actually, I don't think she's a puppet as much as she is exposing the Illuminati. Who really connected the Illuminati to the music industry until Jay-Z and GaGa started doing the one eyed thing repeatedly. What kind of secret society is that? Sure a quick sign once in awhile, but all the time so that people start wondering?
But you are right. She knows how to keep her name out there. Remind you of anyone? Many speculate that the hyperbaric chamber story was created by Michael himself. Early on in GaGa's career there were rumors she was a hermaphrodite. Did she start the rumor and feed it? If so, she and/or her handler(s) is/are genius(es). At first I was apalled by her. Then I realized that she is delivering a message. One can not like her music, but I would never suggest she is an idiot. Far from it.
And I like the lyrics in Born this Way.....God makes no mistakes. It's a positive message to kids who feel and are different. Her craziness allows room for everyone. As for the connection to Michael? I cannot dismiss the connection to Akon nor her appearance on the Larry King show where she revealed (to I think everyone's surprise) that she was going to open for MJ at the 02. And she was wearing the black and white thing at the time. So, either she's being horribly disrespectful to MJ or she knows something and may be part of a larger effort to revitalize the music industry, spearheaded by none other than our wild and crazy Michael.
Actually, Lady Gaga and Madonna are distant cousins. They are related.. I guess blood is thicker than water..
I agree with you ... I like the song of Born this way she did an interview and she explained, she wrote this song because we are all different, and we all come from God, in God's eyes we are all the same. It is ashame that we don't think this way. Lots of racism, and descriminations going around this society. Yes, if children or mostly teenagers listening to this song, it will help them accept themselves for whom they are.
Do you hear Madonna or Michael Jackson on Lady GaGa’s new album? Because she does.
The Pop eccentric made the interesting claim during an interview with Stephen Fry for the Financial Times. In the insightful feature, she also discusses money meaning nothing to her, her fans and more.
Excerpts after the jump…
Via our good friends over at GaGa Daily:
On money:
“It’s honestly true that money means nothing to me. The only big things I’ve purchased are my dad’s heart valve and a Rolls-Royce for my parents, for their anniversary. And that was only because my dad had a Lady Gaga licence plate on our old car and it was making me crazy because he was getting followed everywhere, so I bought him a new car. Other than that I put everything in the show, and I actually went bankrupt after the first extension of The Monster Ball.”
On fans:
“I sent them hot chocolate yesterday, and macaroons, and then today I had press all day and I felt a bit bad because I wouldn’t have much of a chance to go down and say hello. But I did manage to go down and brought them some fresh cookies and flowers. Little Monsters are a community. It’s kind of nice that wherever I go they create a little home for me.
On Madonna:
“I genuinely love her so much. I think she is so amazing. She could never be replicated and, yes, I’m Italian, I’m from New York, and not for nothing, it’s not my fault that I kind of look like her, right? So, look, if anything, it’s more annoying to me that people would insinuate that I don’t like to be compared to her… She’s wonderful and inspiring and liberating, and she’s certainly inspired my (‘Born This Way’) album, as did David Bowie, as did Prince, as did Michael Jackson, as did Grace Jones, and I would never take that away.”
While the Madonna similarities are at times uncanny, she lost yours truly with the Michael reference. Then again, what’s a GaGa interview without the random wackiness…

In the interview Lady GaGa said that she's inspired by MJ and by others. That's not really hot news. She's not the only pop artist who's inspired by MJ.
Oh, and just so I appear to be relevant to topic, Gaga must find it increasingly hard to come up with more shock value as most societial boundaries have already been broken through by her pop predescessors. I wasn't a fan of her meat dress. As for art or performance art, I like it to be astheticly pleasing and uplifting to the spirit. If I want to be confronted, I'll visit a slaughter house or watch the world news.
I suppose <!-- sconfused/ -->confused/<!-- sconfused/ --> she can't get her story straight on who inspired her to write Born This Way? <!-- sfresse/ -->fresse/<!-- sfresse/ -->
The more I see and hear Gaga the more I find out things from Michael. Well, I suppose it all makes sense someday.
I don't listen to Lady GaGa but you have to give her a lot of credit for not being afraid to be different, even a bit strange - but that's part of her attraction. She's managed to draw attention to herself and that keeps people talking about her. In a business where there is so much competition she was able to make a little niche for herself. Will she last like Madonna, Michael, Prince, etc? Not sure. She has a very good voice but for me I barely hear her words because I'm distracted by the costume. Michael was able to keep the props from getting in the way of the words. It's been said that Michael thought she was amazing.
As far as knowing about the hoax? I doubt it. Just my opinion.
I was reading yesterday an article about her being bankrupt because of her tour. The cost of the production was more than what was coming in - sounds like what Michael experienced with one of his tours. I also read where her album has already sold 100 million records worldwide - and that was in it's first week of release. Is that because she's great at marketing or because she's a great performer or both? Does anyone think that album will sell more than Thriller? Just wondering because it's only just out of the gate and doing this well. Will it have the staying power? Does anyone who owns the album have an opinion on this?
I wish her the best. I personally don't think anyone will ever compare to Michael but I'm biased.
On another note - here is an article where MJ Fans and LG fans are in friendly competition. If you haven't gotten your dot for Michael - you should do so...

Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson Fans Face Off
i had to reply because I know what you mean. Chaka Khan is in no way on the same level as the others mentioned, she is both lyrically and vocally blessed and untouchable in her own right. She is above and beyond what these girls could ever be and its no one's fault. I'm referring to their imagery though. There is this undeniable chain linking many artists together as far as how they present themselves onstage, at events, on their album covers, etc.
Chaka Khan is a woman with soul power, class and edge: A lot of cheap artists try to copy this. And I hate to judge, but my honest opinion on Gaga is that she is trying to create an image to hide behind. I don't know why, I don't really care why either, I'm just saying how I feel.
Also, I grew up on Chaka Khan and she will always be one of the most prolific music forces ever seen or heard.
People say that 'Bad Kids' DOES have a MJ reference to it!~ Quite the interesting song.
I personally LOVE Lady Gaga. She's awesome! Maybe because I can relate to some of the things she has went through in her life but any other way, I adore her and her music! <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) --> <!-- sbearhug -->bearhug<!-- sbearhug -->
