This Picture Deserves It's Own Thread
I saw this picture someone posted.
as a mother of three, my youngest 2 1/2, I saw this picture and I cried...I cried because I wanted to reach thru my computer, take this small sleeping boy, cuddle him in my arms, stroke his forehead and smell his sleepy boy smell, and tell him "it's all going to be all right."
I just look at this picture and think of all the hurt and heartache to come, and I say...it was worth it for us, and what he gave us, but was it worth it for him....shhh...don't wake the precious child...let him sleep and rest...comfort him and console him...he needs his rest because there is too much to come! Oh God, I pray he is at peace.

Yeah, he didn't even know what was to come... such a strong soul... *sigh*
I am sure that Michael found peace & love through his mother, even though she stayed with Joe throughout Michaels childhood. We all know how he suffered via his own words. It matters not how many "beatings" or how many cruel words were or were not spoken by his father.
It does matter it is Michaels interpretation of his past. Still, I am a believer that our pasts can either enhance our futures or regress them.
For Michael, it was clear that while he lived a lonely life, he projected his love onto many people & of course specifically children. We all know what a great humanitarian he is. While I believe he may have chosen that path despite his childhood, I firmly believe he did in inspite of his childhood.
He often said that he felt he was born to use his gift as an instrument of art & wanted to share it with the world & so he did.
Michael always had the choice to not pursue a career in the lime light, but he chose to continue. In part because it was all he had ever known, but also because he wanted to share his gift with the world.
For me, his songs are straight from his heart. Each song represented how he felt about people & the future of our world. I hope we got the real message.
Poor kid... <!-- s:? -->:?<!-- s:? -->
thank you for sharing!
So precious and so innocent. Nothing really changed throughout his life. What a love.
“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God” (Mt. 5:8).
