The Jacksons in a casino? wow. sounds... mmm... unenviably.

Pikachu, I don't understand what you mean by UNENVIABLY...what is wrong with playing at a casino?? :-[

@Bec: Detroit WAS a ghost town, and most of the historic architecture, including family dwellings :'( could pass for backdrop in multiple horror movies if it all wasn't condemned, but I heard that a certain "Magic" millionaire has begun plans to inject new life and development into the old Dear. All it takes is someone with a bold plan :th_bravo: and some helpers who will get behind it. Detroit is an international portal; it's beyond shameful :Crash: that the state and municipal authorities participated in the neglect and decay greeting and intimidating visitors for years and years. A resurrection is in order. :icon_cool: I hope the Jacksons DO bless us with their vote of confidence for the city! :icon_bounce: :icon_e_biggrin:

Orly?

Well now that's very interesting indeed. I hope that's not a rumor, and I agree, all it would take is someone with money to invest and vision for the future. It could really be a spectacular place once again. There's a lot of people that still live and work in Detroit who really believe in the town, and the spirit of community is alive and well there... despite the war torn landscape.

It's shameful to me that this country invests BILLIONS of dollars overseas when RIGHT HERE in the homeland there is decaying infrastructure and hard-working, good people who are really suffering because of it. Absolutely a national shame how much money the last administration invested into IRAQ when DETROIT is burning. Seriously fucked up priorities.

Ps. ItsHer, I really wish I, too, could be part of that recovery but alas, earthly responsibilities elsewhere, and my own community to tend to.

@Grace, I think my vocab is just forever hoax-tainted. It just rolls right off the tongue.

The city of Detroit fascinates me. If I were younger and more ambitious, I would love to buy a home and start a business there, and participate in urban agriculture. I am watching what happens in Detroit very closely, as I believe it is a window into the future fate of all urbanized big cities in America. I'd love to see it succeed and rise from the ashes; as if Detroit succeeds, so will industrial mankind.

But let's face it, as it is, it's not really a jewel on the Nile... and it's not a town that can attract a big name act looking for a sell out crowd. Detroit is inching towards ghost town status.

Hey, as far as predictions go, let's be careful what we proclaim here... we confidently wrote the Cardiff Tribute off as *never going to happen* and they defiantly pressed ahead and held that charade as proposed.

So a J5-sans MJ reunion on 777? Sure, bring it on. Like I said, we need something to go head to head with The Signs this summer. Can't just have one aspect of hoax chatter on the web, must diversify.

Okay when you mentioned this, it reminded me of something I read while looking up Tohme which intrigued me about MJ’s dreams and plans.

Dr. Tohme Tohme affectionately remembers Michael Jackson as a sensitive friend, an innovative artistic genius, and an extremely devoted father. Having relocated Jackson and his family from Las Vegas to Los Angeles in mid 2008, Dr. Tohme sadly notes that in addition to the indescribable void the King of Pop's tragic passing has created in the Jackson family's life, Tohme is also deeply saddened since there was so much more Michael Jackson wished to achieve- innovative music, movies, and even green cities- projects that Michael Jackson wished to one day create and share with the world.
http://www.articlesbase.com/customer-service-articles/dr-tohme-tohme-worked-on-lucrative-business-deals-for-michael-jackson-3904214.html

What are Green Cities?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sustainable_city (Germany fine example)

five-amazing-green-cities-1.jpg
http://science.howstuffworks.com/environmental/green-science/five-amazing-green-cities.htm
"They're a whole lot greener than Emerald City!" :icon_lol:

Green cities of the future
http://www.guardian.co.uk/sustainable-business/cities-self-sufficient-new-urban-energy-centres

Wasn't there some discussion a while back, that MJ had made some comment about Las Vegas was what it was today because of his ideas; in other words business men had actually gone to MJ for his vision of the city's layout? Does MJ have some major clout with movers and shakers of the world, that they go to him for counsel. Remember:
Gotham Chopra on the 10th July tweets: Had the most fascinating dinner last night with that guy that runs the world from behind the curtain.

Very interesting. I read somewhere that a wealthy Japanese business man gave Michael $20 million for an unspecified project, after spending 3 days with him. :icon_eek:. He added that this was a 'pittance' compared to what some others had given him. We all know of his relationships with various people of influence in the Middle East. As much as we love Michael, it has always seemed a bit odd to me....and then there's the matter of his 'military'' look. I don't know what I'm getting at exactly, but your comment set off a dim light bulb in my head, as though you had touched on something important and overlooked about the Man we've been studying for almost 3 years now and don't seem to yet understand.

Yes, and maybe, "See you in July!"
Yesss MJonmind. Let's not forget that one! ;D

Yep, what was it last year that had many excited about a July re-appearance. I'm just loving this, the master mind is at work here again. Give us something to get us to July and we have only another 5 or 6 mos. to hang in there if we remember what TS said about when MJ would return!

Stay excited people, I am!

Blessings to you all!
OnTheWingsOfLove
  • I was just looking at the official website for the Unity tour. Under Michael's bio page, they have a picture of Liberian Girl where he is behind the camera again ;D Interesting ....

You are wrong. There is NO website for the Unity Tour.

http://www.thejacksons.com/home/ - it's a website for The Jacksons latest news, updates, etc. The Unity Tour is just a news there.

Michael is there because he was part of the group. The rest is pure speculation.
  • The same top of the website ( with the current and ex members) is for any news on that web, not only for the tour.

Example: http://www.thejacksons.com/a-family-affair-immortal-l-a-premier/
I been waiting for See you in July since 2009.

Technically, he did see us in July. At the Memorial.

    lmao Bec :icon_lol:
  • True that. It was see you. Not well see each other in July. Yes he saw you in July watching his memorial....

MJ is like big brother.

It still always floors me when I think abt it. Imagine being able to see how the world reacts after your death. To watch your own funeral. The haters come out of the bushes and give tributes.... The mind boggles!

You know, this has been in the back of my mind for a long time, and just yesterday on a completely different forum, someone said the SAME thing! Odd that after all this time, something so obvious suddenly comes to light.

Yes, I've always thought this - still do - but a certain TS tried to steer me away from believing the July thing was all done and dusted, by implying MJ couldn't have seen us in 'that' July (09), because he was still metaphorically dead until his 'resurrection' on 9.9.09 when autopsy was complete. I think I remember that right! I remember thinking that's what's called changing the rules while playing the game, thus ensuring every July henceforth would have us on the edge of our seats!

I’m going on July 8th. I won tickets! I am looking forward to going to see them, if only for the nostalgia. I always loved them together as a group. They rocked! Without Michael, it will be interesting to see what is done and by whom with Michael’s parts (that is if he doesn’t do them himself, lol). It is kinda suspicious that they are touring in July when Michael said “see you in July” I see it as a purposeful marketing tool to get more people to come. I’d say “good one”.
