LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Contrary to a report claiming proseuctors are ready to seek an “involuntary manslaughter indictment” against Dr. Conrad Murray, charges are not being filed against Michael Jackson’s doctor, the LA District Attorney’s office told Access Hollywood.

“This is not true,” Jane Robison, press secretary for the DA’s office, told Access. “We don’t have a case.”

She confirmed the LAPD has yet to hand the case over.

“We can’t file charges without having the evidence,” she continued.

An LAPD spokesman confirmed the information to NBC News.

On Friday, The Associated Press reported the DA’s office would “seek an involuntary manslaughter indictment” against Murray, who cared for Jackson prior to his June 25 death last year, with the case resting on “a theory of gross negligence.”

    They are saying they do not have a case as the LAPD hasnt handed them the papers. LAPD need to file the case with the DA and they havent done this.. yet

    DancingTheDream is correct... they do not have a case (or evidence) at this point because the LAPD has not yet given them the files on the case. When the LAPD gives the DA's office the files, then they will be able to continue with the charges and what-not.

    Sounds exactly like something Michael would want...

    They have a case, they dont have a case,

    Murrays's guilty of homicide, he's guilty of involuntary manslaughter

    Murray will face charges, the case will be filed

    Murray gave Michael a pack of medicines that would kill a dozen horses, the amount he gave him was safe and wouldnt kill MJ

    They will file charges in a few weeks, They cant file charges without evidence.

    First reaction is madness. On the other hand, it gives me confidence that Michael is alive, that's why they say they don't have a case. Otherwise, when Conrad said he administered intervenous propofol at home, there is already a case with 3 violations: 1-intravenous 2-propofol 3- at home. More than enough to arrest Murray.If beleive Cassandra from derekclontz wordpress, she said "Conrad will not be arrested because he was performing hoax plan, Michael will not allow to arrest him".
    I am scared, sad and happy, and confused at the same time.
    Michael please come out, we cannot take this anymore!!!!!!!

    Buy the way, next topic about passing of Britaney M. There is a discription of the emotional call to 911 by her mother and it says that "she was on the phone with 911 until coroner arrived, then call was ended when she confirmed they arrived".
    Remember Michael's 911 call? I hope you heard it. They hung up before coroner arrived, almost said each other "have a nice day". Very suspicious phone call, too calm for calling for Michael Jackson. <!-- s:roll: -->:roll:<!-- s:roll: -->
