Was Michael Jackson Framed?
Before Evan Chandler took control of his son Jordan, the only one making allegations against Jackson was Chandler himself — the boy had never accused the singer of any wrongdoing. That changed one day in Chandler’s Beverly Hills dental office.
In the presence of Chandler and Mark Torbiner, a dental anesthesiologist, the boy was administered the controversial drug sodium Amytal — which some mistakenly believe is a truth serum. ]And it was after this session that the boy first made his charges against Jackson. A newsman at KCBS-TV, in L.A., reported on May 3 of this year that Chandler had used the drug on his son, but the dentist claimed he did so only to pull his son’s tooth and that while under the drug’s influence, the boy came out with allegations. Asked for this article about his use of the drug on the boy, Torbiner replied: “If I used it, it was for dental purposes.”
Given the facts about sodium Amytal and a recent landmark case that involved the drug, the boy’s allegations, say several medical experts, must be viewed as unreliable, if not highly questionable.
“It’s a psychiatric medication that cannot be relied on to produce fact,” says Dr. Resnick, the Cleveland psychiatrist. “People are very suggestible under it. People will say things under sodium Amytal that are blatantly untrue.” Sodium Amytal is a barbiturate, an invasive drug that puts people in a hypnotic state when it’s injected intravenously. Primarily administered for the treatment of amnesia, it first came into use during World War II, on soldiers traumatized — some into catatonic states — by the horrors of war. Scientific studies done in 1952 debunked the drug as a truth serum and instead demonstrated its risks: False memories can be easily implanted in those under its influence. “It is quite possible to implant an idea through the mere asking of a question,” says Resnick. But its effects are apparently even more insidious: “The idea can become their memory, and studies have shown that even when you tell them the truth, they will swear on a stack of Bibles that it happened,” says Resnick.
Recently, the reliability of the drug became an issue in a high-profile trial in Napa County, California. After undergoing numerous therapy sessions, at least one of which included the use of sodium Amytal, 20-year-old Holly Ramona accused her father of molesting her as a child. Gary Ramona vehemently denied the charge and sued his daughter’s therapist and the psychiatrist who had administered the drug. This past May, jurors sided with Gary Ramona, believing that the therapist and the psychiatrist may have reinforced memories that were false. Gary Ramona’s was the first successful legal challenge to the so-called “repressed memory phenomenon” that has produced thousands of sexual-abuse allegations over the past decade.
As for Chandler’s story about using the drug to sedate his son during a tooth extraction, that too seems dubious, in light of the drug’s customary use. “It’s absolutely a psychiatric drug,” says Dr. Kenneth Gottlieb, a San Francisco psychiatrist who has administered sodium Amytal to amnesia patients. Dr. John Yagiela, the coordinator of the anesthesia and pain control department of UCLA’s school of dentistry, adds, “It’s unusual for it to be used [for pulling a tooth]. It makes no sense when better, safer alternatives are available. It would not be my choice.”
Because of sodium Amytal’s potential side effects, some doctors will administer it only in a hospital. “I would never want to use a drug that tampers with a person’s unconscious unless there was no other drug available,” says Gottlieb. “And I would not use it without resuscitating equipment, in case of allergic reaction, and only with an M.D. anesthesiologist present.” (Sounds like the Michael/Murray situation)
Chandler, it seems, did not follow these guidelines. He had the procedure performed on his son in his office, and he relied on the dental anesthesiologist Mark Torbiner for expertise.

also es kann ja gut sein das Michael, Blanket unter Vollnarkose behandeln lassen hat. Vielleicht hat der Kleine Angst vorm Zahnarzt und würde sonst nicht den Mund aufmachen. Aber ich kann mir absolut nicht vorstellen das er den Arzt dazu drängt, wenn der doch garkeine Erlaubnis dafür hat. Dann kann man schließlich einfach zu einem Arzt gehen der die Erlaubnis hat, oder in eine zahnklinik, wirds ja bestimmt auch in der USA geben. Ich denke eher das der Arzt einfach die Behandlung gemacht hat, sofern sie überhaupt stattgefunden hat, ohne überhaupt zu erwähnen das er dazu nicht berechtigt ist. Bei diesem Artikel fühle ich mich nur in meiner Meinung bestätigt das sie mit den Hoaxern spielen. Sie wissen doch das wir täglich rein schauen, wie sind ihre besten leser und treiben die Quoten nach oben. Wenn der Arzt nicht befugt ist Narkosemittelchen zu geben um einen Zahn zu ziehen, warum macht er es dann? Ist er sich nicht bewusst darüber gewesen das seine Arztlizenz dabei entzogen werden kann. Oder ginge es Ihm hier wirklich nur um das liebe Geld? Ich weiss das jeder Geld verdienen muss um überleben zu können. Woher kommt das überhaupt wieder? Warum jetzt? Wenn es so gewesen sein sollte, warum wird das erst jetzt aufgedeckt? Bleibt dieser Arzt nun verschont? Darf er weiter praktizieren? Natürlich gibt es das das ein Zahn unter Vollnarkose gezogen werden kann. Ich habe da wieder zu viele Fragen und es gibt keine antworten.
Glaubt Ihr denn wirklich Michael wäre so verrückt und würde das Leben seinen Kindes gefährden???

Harvey hat ja mal selbst geschrieben er sei ein grosser Fan von Michael Jackson, aber ist er auch ein Fan vom Menschen Michael Jackson oder nur dem Entertainer?
Mit der Chandler Sache habe ich mich nie so wirklich beschäftigt, das war mir auch immer ein zu grosses Durcheinander, alles so verwirrend, ich frage mich, warum hat der Junge das behauptet? Hat Even wirklich jemals seinen Sohn unter Narkose ausgequetscht? Oder musste der Sohn einfach Aussagen was sein Vater Ihm gesagt hat was er aussagen muss? Ich bin gerade völlig Ratlos

What is this article really telling us? Well, let’s look at the crux of the story as if we’re talking about any parent and child, not Michael Jackson and his son…
TRUTH:
• A 6-year-old boy needed a 2-hour dental procedure performed on him that required anesthesia.
• The dentist lacked a permit to perform procedures under anesthesia.
• The boy’s father asked the dentist to hire an anesthesiologist (i.e., a doctor licensed to administer anesthesia) to do the sedation.
• The dentist agreed to hire a licensed anesthesiologist, and who then did the sedation on the 6-year-old boy.
In other words, the father acted like any parent with a young child in need of a lengthy dental procedure. Receiving anesthesia for dental care is NOT unusual, even in young children. It is completely normal to want your child to be anesthetized during a 2-hour long procedure, which—if personal experience with dental work is any indication—is likely to be painful. Furthermore, the use of Propofol in dental surgery is extremely common.

That’s the subtext! That’s what TMZ and the rest of the tabloid media want you to believe. Why? Because it’s “shocking”, it’s scandalous, it involves a very famous person with a lot of public interest, and, above all, because it will get lots of people—including Michael Jackson fans—to click on their site, leave comments, send the link to other people, and ultimately increase TMZ’s value to advertisers.
The media makes a lot of money off of stories about Michael Jackson. It doesn’t matter whether the story is negative or positive, fact or fiction; the public still eats it up. We saw it in 1982, we saw it in 1987, 1993, 2003, 2005, 2009…and on and on and on. As long as the interest is there, the media will provide a story, even if they have to invent it.
We’re in the midst of a period of time between the preliminary hearings and the trial of the doctor accused of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson. It’s a slow time, news-wise. You’re going to see a lot of trash and nonsense and noise coming out so the media can continue filling their pockets while they wait for the trial to start. Be aware.

The reason a complaint was filed against the dentist wasn’t because of anything the father did wrong—it’s because the dentist didn’t have the right permit to allow the licensed anesthesiologist to administer the anesthetic in his office. Think back to the last time you (or your child) received anesthesia at the dentist: Did you check up on all the intricacies of the dentist’s permits regarding the use of an anesthesiologist in his or her office? I’m guessing you didn’t.

What does TMZ want you to take away from their sensationalized report? Well, that’s simple: They want you (and everyone else who reads their article…and everyone who reads every other article based on their article…and so on) to believe that Michael Jackson was such a horrible father and such a delusional junkie that he forced a doctor to put his son to sleep with the very same drug that wound up killing his dad. And if Michael Jackson is that irresponsible and horrible, how can we believe that he didn’t force another doctor to give him an overdose in June 2009? And really, how can we believe that Michael Jackson just didn’t kill himself, since he obviously didn’t care about his kids?
That’s the subtext! That’s what TMZ and the rest of the tabloid media want you to believe. Why? Because it’s “shocking”, it’s scandalous, it involves a very famous person with a lot of public interest, and, above all, because it will get lots of people—including Michael Jackson fans—to click on their site, leave comments, send the link to other people, and ultimately increase TMZ’s value to advertisers.
The media makes a lot of money off of stories about Michael Jackson. It doesn’t matter whether the story is negative or positive, fact or fiction; the public still eats it up. We saw it in 1982, we saw it in 1987, 1993, 2003, 2005, 2009…and on and on and on. As long as the interest is there, the media will provide a story, even if they have to invent it.
We’re in the midst of a period of time between the preliminary hearings and the trial of the doctor accused of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson. It’s a slow time, news-wise. You’re going to see a lot of trash and nonsense and noise coming out so the media can continue filling their pockets while they wait for the trial to start. Be aware.

The best way to take action against tabloid sites like TMZ is with INACTION.
• Don’t click on any links to their website.
• Don’t share any links to their website.
• Don’t comment on any articles on their website.
• If you follow their posts with an RSS reader (like Google Reader), delete the feed.
• If you’ve liked their page on Facebook, unlike it.
• If you follow them on Twitter, unfollow them.
Every click, every link, and every follower makes TMZ a more valuable company in the eyes of advertisers, and that’s where the money lies. Exercise your voice of opposition be refusing to give TMZ a single additional click.
